    How many pushups a day?

    I've heard you should do at least 300 push ups a day. Is this true? And if so, it doesn't interefere with the rest period after a chest workout?

    Yeah, that's what I thought, but I've heard from people, and on other sites that you should do that, I wasn't sure though.

    false, unless you want to get good at doing a lot of pushups, you have to do alot of pushups. if you want to lift heavy, lift heavy.

    are you training for special operations?? lol

    doing 300 pushups will work your chest out hard enough that you wont need to lift any weights after.

    if you want endurance and strength, youre doing fine
    if you want to look nice in front of judges n sh*t, lift weights and follow a bodybuilding plan

    i do 150 pushups in 30 minutes every other day, and im still rising, im tryin to get to doing 400 pushhups in an hour.. im going into the military soon so i had to switch up my workouts... b

    Crunches - 136
    Pull-ups - 14

    try this as well.
    regular pushups to your max two times.
    rest one minute
    wide pushups to your max two times
    rest one minute
    triangle tricep pushups to your max two times
    rest one minute
    then do 100 situps, this will give you time to relax your arms/chest
    then do as many regular pushups in 1 minute.
    Current IST:
    1.5 mile - 10.16
    Crunches - 136
    Pull-ups - 14

    your goal shouldn't be to do as many as you can.. it should be to get a good workout.. doing any more than 100 spread across a few sets is just silly. wear a backpack of weights if you have to.

    lol, i kno it sounds pretty silly but i dont break it down to 5 pushups a minute.

    im sure you can do it easily like that, but thats not how your supposed to work out

    i been doing 5 supersets of
    10 regular pushups
    10 situps
    10 wide pushups
    10 situps
    10 triangle tricep pushups
    10 situps

    you are not supposed to rest between pushups, situps, and supersets, and finish each superset in 2 minutes...

    this program is suppsoed to be done in 10 minutes... but i jsut started this program, and i have to catch a breath after each set.. so it takes a lil longer than what im supposed to do.. ill cut my times down soon enough

    it might be easy for a more fit person, try it out
