Iron Cardio Anyone?
I HATE [traditional] cardio. I have recently heard of Iron Cardio (using free weights for cardio). Any of you do this of know more about it?

I haven't heard of a specific program with that label. However, I know there are people that train with weights in a circuit style where the rest between sets is no more than 15-20 seconds. It is a great way to keep your heart rate elevated and minimize the need for traditional cardio.

Me-ow
I've been rotating running with the interval training from bodyrock.tv. There are some weights in some of it but most it's body weight.

^ This.
I've been doing circuit training lately and I have to say it's completely different than the way I was lifting weights. I usually perform one whole circuit, then slap on 2-4 mins of cardio at the end of the circuit. (Jump rope, jumping jacks, whatever) Rest, then repeat the circuit all over again. My HR stays up there and if my HR monitor is to be believed, I burn quite a bit of calories.

I'm fairly certain you can combine any exercises you prefer into a circuit. Just go from one to the other with little to no rest between. When you get done with the circuit, rest 1 min or 2 then repeat. I think most people do full body circuits, but the one I'm doing has it split by body part. (only because I've been doing fullbodys for about 4 mos now and I wanted a change. ) Some exercises I do: squats, incline chest press, shoulder presses, lunges, overhead tricep extensions, barbell curls, 1 legged dumbbell straight legged deadlifts..
Hope this helps!
