As far as guard dogs, akitas might be better guard dogs along with german shepherds, etc., because they are more aggressive towards people. Bullies are big babies that are just mad-strong and lock jaws. They're more likely to attack another dog though. Akitas are cold blooded killers.

I would like to ask a question from pitbull owners. Can you train your dog to don't be domant and agressive when meeting other dogs? I heard that they are very human friendly and protect theire environment. But they were breed to attack other dogs and fight them so is it possible to fade this instict?
