So confused about shoulder issue - having surgery Wed but not sure if it is right dec

I had surgery on my left shoulder 7 months ago and I am not experiencing a dull ache all around my shoulder and upper back (scapula). The nerves, veins, etc in my arm pit are supper tight and when I lay down and stretch my arm out horizontally I can feel everything pulling.

Throughout the day I often have to stretch my arm out to relieve the tightness but it soon comes right back. The underside of my palm is also very tight and when I stand up straight and move my hand back towards my arm with palm facing down I can feel everytrhing in my hand and armpit stretch. I am also diagnosed with cubittal tunnel in my elbow.

Next wednesday I am schedule for arthoscopic shouulder surgery to see what is goin on inside and also a Capsulorrhaphy to tighten my tendons, etc.

I am worried that perhaps my problem is not in my shoulder and could be some other issue such as Thoracic Tunnel Syndrome. Has anyone experienced any of these symptoms? Could a messed up shoulder cause everything under your armpit to tighten up?

I am just not sure if I am taking the right step. I am in constant discomfort. Its not really a pain just constant aching in my shoulder and scapula region. IT keeps me from enjoying life and doing many things.

Can anyone lend a hand? What about having a capsulorrhapy?

I remember you saying that an MRI showed positive labral tear? That very well could be your problem. It does create a lot of the symptoms you say you feel. Also, you've done just about every conservative aproach. I think you need a good surgeon that knows what he's doing to look in there so he can see what's going on and fix it. Do you feel comfortable with the conversation you've had with your surgeon? If so, trust him. If not then you may want to look for another one. Tightness can go away over time if it's due to the surgery but it's been quite a long time for you plus your positive for a labral tear. Did he say if he could tell what grade tear it is from the MRI?

    Hey bro

Mri showed positive for rotator cuff tear, but they said there is a possibility that it could be a labral tear from symptoms except I have no dislocations!?!

Second I have heard bad things from the capsule being surgically tightned.... have you heard anything to that extent?

Also my pinky and ulnar nerve have been very irritated this whole week... I just hope I am doing the right thing getting the shoulder done before the ulnar nerve...

What about the tightness in my armpit that is resulting in tightness in my palm, any ideas?

And I appreciate the PM you had sent me eariler, and apologize for not getting back to it sooner... I have been kind of depressed lately man.

any ideas? has anyone experienced intense tightness underneath the armpit that goes down all the way to the palm and wrist?

I have cubital tunnel which seems to be getting worse daily as well... I am going to call up the doc tomorrow and ask to get in before my wednesday shoulder surgery because I think the problem is either spreading or being wrongly diagnosed...

Could this be caused from the neck? On an old mri cervical scan it says I have C5-C6 and C6-C7 small central disc herniations and last night I could feel a knot in the back of m neck.

Hey FLBeach, I replied to your pm about the ART therapy.

It is just killing me man; the docs have no clue as to what is going on and I am about to undergo explorative surgery?!?!

My tricep is also starting to get like a cold feeling in the back of it. Is this a normal symptom of shoulder injury or is this a sign of a brachial plexus injury?
