    Is it good to have a fast metabolism?

    Yesterday for breakfast i had my usuall eggs, toast, yogurt breakfast. Then for lunch i went crazy at china buffet with 4 plates of food. Then I consumed over 1,000 calories at Wendys(jr.baconx2, fries, frosty). And i still weighed the same today! The only pyhsical thinkg i did was be at the pool for a few hours.

    To answer your question - depends. Having a fast metabolism means you won't get fat and that's good. But trying to bulk up, it sucks.

    you know it takes 3500cal over maintenance to gain 1lb right? and i hope you're planning on gaining fat if you wanna see a definate 1lb increase in a day..

    Unless it's water weight, gaining weight takes time. If you ate like you that everyday, you would probably gain weight (depending on how many calories you actually consumed).

    As long as there is not a famine you won't die :-P. If you have a slow metabolism you better hope there is a famine so you don't die early :-P

    Being young is a burden. we have to eat more to get bigger. When your older you don't have to eat as much and its easier to get bigger.

    That's a good point. I guess putting on muscle is easier later on in life, but getting rid of fat is harder.
