    What do you do if you can't stand up from a squat?

    As I'm approaching 200lbs I'm beginning to worry what might happen if I can't stand up again in a squat. Is the a safe way to dump the bar behind you for instance (in a back squat)?

    Edit: I ask because my gym doesn't have those safety bar rack thingys (?)

    Yeah that's what I do. If you get stuck, control it down as low as you can get and dump the bar.
