Smart scales?
I'm looking for a scale that can be programmed to track weight, body fat, water weight, etc. Is there a brand out there that's better than others?

Those scales are unbelievably unreliable.
Bioelectric impedimence is one of the most inaccurate ways of measuring body composition and the results are not only inaccurate, but vary wildly depending on water retention, etc. etc.
You'd be better off getting a set of calipers. For one off bf% measurements they're not particularly accurate either but they are reasonably accurate at measuring trends.

Thanks for the tip
Just wanted to say thanks to both of you that replied. I ended up getting a Weight Watchers scale on sale that tracks BF, etc, and I have to agree with you about the scales not being accurate. I'm not too impressed with it. Maybe there are better models out there like the Tanita that was mentioned. However, I did need a new scale, so it wasn't a total waste of money either. Thanks again for the replies.
Cuttos, did you ever end up getting one?

I have one of those WW scales too....same thing, I needed a new scale. I was just gonna get a plain old scale so it was just a "bonus" that it tracks BF. I know they aren't accurate as far as the actual number but I use it to make sure that the number trends DOWN ;-)
Only gripe with mine is I noticed that it reads differently if it's just slightly off level-our bathroom floor must not be perfectly level.
FWIW mine says I'm around 20.5% BF and I think I am that or lower....like I said, as long as the number goes DOWN I'll be satisfied with the scale as a tool for watching my progress.

on a 9-month bulk
There are some that do a really detailed analysis, but if you just want one that tracks your weight and BF%, and you have a wireless internet connection in your home, then I recommend the withings scale. You can go online at any time and see your progress.
