Difference Between White and Brown Bread?

I'm curious, is there any difference towards anything in the two breads? I'm curious because I'm trying to cut down.

From a nutritional point of view there is no difference. Best thing to do for cutting down is cut it out. Otherwise go for more complex carbs like rye, stoneground wholemeal or granary.

White bread has if i recall approximately 30 vitamins/minerals removed from it that whole wheat has.

    Carbs/calories wise same thing.

If you go buy bread make sure it is WHOLE wheat, not just wheat.

You'll get more fiber from wheat and less of a blood sugar spike. Slightly more vitamins and minerals. Best bet with bread is to limit its intake or cut it completely out. Once you find good alternatives for sandwiches its easy.

You're wrong bruh sry. White bread is stripped of all its nutrients and has to be enriched to replace some of them but not all. Calorie wise they are the same. But OP if u r worried about it be sure to get 100% whole wheat bread

If you are talking about basic, run-of-the-mill sandwich bread, then No. I'm right and they both suck. No real difference.

If you are talking about real, whole wheat, fermented sprouted bread with minimal ingredients, then yes there is a huge difference.

Most store bought bread sucks. Seriously. It's loaded with all kinds of processed shyt.

I don't eat bread because I have yet to find a good, real bread since I got home.

Any good bread will come from a local bakery or be homemade.

That is a pretty vague general question, as if there were only 2 choices of bread at the store, further complicated by manufacturers marketing tricks. But to give a generally vague answer to a generally vague question, then the "brown" bread would theoretically be better for you since it's not as refined and bleached. But fact of the matter is usually even the "whole grain" breads are refined whole wheat flour, which is why they usually say "enriched", meaning they refined the snot out of all the nutrients and had to throw some vitamins back into it. Also, now they have white bread from whole grain. Now if you are talking brown as in Ezekial bread or that European stuff that weighs like a brick, that is different.
