    Milk when bulking

    When bulking is there any reason to limit milk intake except for allergies and such?
    I ask because since I was about ten I have drank about a gallon or more milk per day easily and was wondering if there were any confirmed negative effects.

    Mark Rippetoe says to drink a galon of milk a day, lol I can't drink that much but I'm sure there is no down side to milk.

    I've had as much as two and a half gallons in a day. Other than water it was basically all I drank for a time.

    yes there are alot of problems related with a high calcium intake, one is that it doesnt let ur body properly absorb iron, u might be deficient in it.

    Actually, my the levels of iron in my blood are two times normal (recent bloodwork).
    The high iron is presumably genetic because almost eveyone on my mother's side has high iron levels.

    I used to drink a gallon a day when i started working out 23 years ago. Now I am lactose intolerant, have been for maybe 10 years or so. Not sure if it was from drinking so much milk for so long or not, but if I had to guess, that would be it. Now I just make yogurt from it and eat that, and cheeses with no lactose, and lactose free whey, etc.
