Got my blood work this week, got twice the upper limit of B12, it's almost 1600 and the range is 200-800.
But zinc, mag, vit K, calc, A, folic.a. are a bit behind.
It's very convenient to take a multi that has them all, but then again, he told me to avoid B12 no matter what.
He said that researches showed that people with too much B12 in the blood had a higher mortality rate (?) (lived less than those with mid B12 levels).
Do I have to swallow 20 capsules a day now?

What do you do when you have too much B12 in the blood but lacking other nutrients?
*Go to the bathroom, flex in mirror and forget to pee crew*
*Shave one of my legs and pretend it's a girl in my bed crew*
*T-mobile worker laughed at me because only had one number for 5-friends/family list plan crew*

I would look into the foods that have high B12 and see how you have incorporated them into your diet. Maybe steer away from them abit more.
You could also try to be pickier with your vitamins; find a multi that has less B12 or a form of B12 that isn't as readily absorbed in the body.
Edit: Did 5 minutes of research on google.
Health Risks from Excessive Vitamin B12
The IOM did not establish a UL for vitamin B12 because of its low potential for toxicity. In Dietary Reference Intakes: Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Vitamin B12, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin, and Choline, the IOM states that “no adverse effects have been associated with excess vitamin B12 intake from food and supplements in healthy individuals” [5].
Findings from intervention trials support these conclusions. In the NORVIT and HOPE 2 trials, vitamin B12 supplementation (in combination with folic acid and vitamin B6) did not cause any serious adverse events when administered at doses of 0.4 mg for 40 months (NORVIT trial) and 1.0 mg for 5 years (HOPE 2 trial) [62,63].

Otherwise, chicken breast, egg, milk, cheeses, ham seem lower in B12, but stay away from shellfish, fortified cereals, and liver.

Do you take a multi, and had you taken a multi within 10-12 hours of the test?
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Did he point fingers at supplements? Or did he talk about the underlying issues that can cause these levels of B12 in the blood? I just ifnd it hard to believe that it is the supplement/food intake unless you were supplementing exclusively with B12 at an unreasonable intake amount, in addition to foods high in B12 at an unreasonable amount, and not peeing at all.......that it would be supplements.

First, get another test done somewhere else to rule out a false test.
Second, supplements didn’t cause that. Highly highly doubtful a diet did either.
Third, see another doctor and talk to him. High B12 is abnormal.Your nutrition and workout program determines your success.
