    powertec rack dip bars loose/wobbly

I just got a p-tec rack, and tried out the dip bars and they fit kind of loose and wobble a bit when trying to do dips. Anyone else have this problem? Do I take out the BFH and beat them like a red headed step child til they fit snug?

pretty common complaint. rather than trying to bend mine to fit more snug, i added a few layers of black duct tape on the inside of the part that fits over the rack frame. this made them fit pretty snug and has the added benefit of eliminating the metal getting scratched up (in fact i put duct tape on my safety bars for that reason--i guess im anal about that)

I have a gray P-Tec, but the dip handles and uprights should be the same as yours.
I noticed they will wobble side to side 3/4 to an inch in each direction without my body weight. Then once I start dipping, they will flair out slightly while getting into position.
During the actual movement, they feel solid.

Ok thanks, i tried to rep you but guess I repped you for something else already lol. I'll see if I have some duct tape around, or some rubberized undercoating.
