If i only drink two protein shakes a day counting for Breakfast and then one for lunch and a salad for dinner ,would i lose 5lbs fast or would that not work

It might work, but it's very unhealthy.
That's like, ~600 calories per day? (Assuming your shakes are 2 scoops)
What's the big rush to lose 5lbs? Lose it over 2 weeks or so instead, and give your body the nutrients it needs instead of starving yourself.The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it.

Absolutely NOT a good strategy.
You'd be at such a caloric deficit your body is going to throw the emergency brake on your metabolism and halt your true goal of losing weight.
If you're looking to drop 5 pounds fast, replace as many simple carbs as possible with lean proteins and space your meals out throughout the day.
And drink tons of water. Just water. Nothing else.#Mensan

how about running before the morning shake..(even though Id rather have a breakfast)
at 6 am
10 am have some omelette
13:00 or 14:00 Lunch (try to keep it high protein)
5-6 pm small diner
before bed cottage cheese n salad !!!
add the other shake after the hardest training u do in the day... as u see I kept carbs very low for you also 10 glasses of water wont cut it (pun intended) you need much more!! add a multi and also dont do this for too long !!!!Fear No EGO!

The answer is for you to just do it and tell is about it later. Useless question unless you want a real nutritional plan; 2 shakes per day with vigorous cardio won't be sustainable past a week.

Why 5 lbs.? Do you need to weigh-in for something? If so, then you can probably just cut water weight for a day.
If you insist upon starving yourself for some reason, then at least sub the protein shakes for chicken or tuna fish. It would cost about the same anyway.
1 scoop typical protein: 24g protein, 3g carbs, 1g fat
3 oz (cooked wgt) chicken breast: 27g protein, 0g carbs, 3g fat
6 oz tuna in water: 24-28g protein, 0g carbs, 2g fat1
