    Question about cutting...

Everyone says to continue weight training while cutting (duh. : P) But are you supposed to just keep training with a constant weight amount or try to get stronger?

    Thanks!

Always try to get stronger, but don't expect the same strength progress on a cut. Increasing, or at least maintaining strength is a good indication that you're losing fat rather than muscle.

Depends entirely on how much overweight you are and how much of a deficit you are in. If you are obese and losing at 1-2 lbs a week, you should be able to maintain or close to it. If you are doing biggest loser style deficits you are gonna be weak as hell. Likewise if you have a normal BMI and are dropping at 1lb a week you are gonna be weak. That is why it is always recommended to take it down slowly. To the point before the real weakness sets in.

You should always lift as much as you can with good form. For some, that means you will be weaker in some lifts as you continue into the cut. I was able to up my weights all the way up until the week before my comp on a severe caloric deficit. However, not everyone can do that. The key is to keep challenging yourself.
