Ok to workout 2 days in a row?

I usually follow a m/w/f schedule but since the gym was closed on Monday cuz memorial day, I went on tuesday instead, but i want to get back on schedule so is it possible to train 2 days in a row and go again today (Wednesday) to get back on my m/w/f routine? Will this do me harm (i.e. overtraining or not giving my body enough recovery time)? I also plan on switching programs today too since I just finished my old routine on yesterday. My old program was really high reps until failure and consisted of workout every body part.

This is what it looked like
    Squats
    Stiff leg DL
    Incline bench press
    Chins
    Bent rows
    Shoulder press
    Skull crushers
    Calf raises
    Crunches

My new workout plan is a full body workout but only 4 exercises with extremely heavy weight?
Today i would only be doing deadlifts, bench press, squat, and dips.

Of course it is ok. Just make sure you eat/rest up well and don't have too many overlapping exercises.

how many sets of those did you do. If you dont go too heavy its OK, but if you are going to overlap a lot with heavy weight and many sets, try not to work out two days in a row.

On Tuesday if thats what your asking, I only did 1 set of about 15-20 reps for for each exercise until failure.

Today i would do lighter than my 5 rep max of those 4 exercises i listed. My max squat for 5 reps is 235 but id only do 200 today. I would do 3 sets of 5.

Squats back-to-back usually is not recommended, unless you had like a ME session and the next day you did so light explosive sets. That would be fine. Flat after incline is no problems, I've never had any detrimental results having those two press close to each other in the same day let alone two. I don't know how hard you work each exercise but SLDL+rows+squats in the same session makes my lower back cry.

M/W/F full body routines are quite effective btw. I trained under the template for awhile and saw great results.

Well on tuesday i did 1 set of 15 reps of squats with only 135 lbs. Today i would be doing 3 sets of 5 reps of about 200-210 lbs if i went.

    Just do it.
I will not do you harm, esp. if you are doing squats 2 days in a row just this week.
There are some routines in which ppl do that, and even squat 4 times a week.
4 sets in 2 days is not much.Go ahead.

Wouldn't if of made more sense to be 'fresh' for the start of the week with the heavier 200-210 lbs and then the 2nd day the lighter 135 lbs? I personally anyway would choose it that way, and why you ask? Because my muscles are already screwed from day 1, if I gonna do the same muscle group again, not to mind the same exercise, I'd go for lighter.

In that case it probably is not a good idea to have such days back to back. Take at least 1-2 days off in between.
