I lost around 1-1.5 pounds weekly through caloric restrictions. I used EC throughout the cut.

Was just doing 3 exercises on big body parts x3 sets on the 8-10 rep range. 2 exercises for bis/tris.

Diet was around the 800cals deficit, around 175g+ protein per day with the rest being carbs and around 150-200 cals from fats.

Supplements: E+C, Animal Cuts (Weeks 6-8), Multivitamins, Omega 3, Creatine.

I was/am injured at the lower back and was treated with potent cortisol (Decadron) twice during the cut, which I don't know if really made me lose any more muscle. Although I tried to eat at maintenance while the half-life was active.

    Amazing results.....

E+C? hum, need to research this one. I wonder the the Animal Cut would work good without the EC

I would think if you were not on creatine you would be even more cut up since that product tends to keep water weight on you.

Were you doing cardio as well, if so how much and what? My diet is dead on but want to push it harder.

I kinda look like you when you started, except for different weight/height.. Im doing pretty much the same as far as dieting and workout is slightly different..Hmm ill have to give animal cuts a try then.. Decadron surely had a positive effect on that cut!
    Anyways! Sweet cut!

Ephedrine + Caffeine, you can find lots of info on how to use it here: http://www.hotnfit.com/ecstack.htm. It's the most popular and one of the most potent stacks available for cutting fat.

I didn't "cheat" on my diet once, meaning that I always made sure I at least had the necessary protein intake and was on a deficit. I did made some "sweeter" carbs choice here and there as long as the previous two were met.

Decadron (Dexamethasone) is a very potent variation of Cortisol, which induces catabolism through protein breakdown, hehe. In no way it is "beneficial" for muscle. It's used to greatly reduce pain/inflammation, and it worked for that purpose.

really nice work. any ideas on starting and ending body fat %?
starting stats 08/4-158.5 lbs,95cm waist, ~25% body fat
current stats 16/7-146 lbs, 81cm waist, ~13.0% body fat

    original short term goal = 16 July = 12% BF. Actual reached = 16 July = 13% BF.
New short term goal = increase calories by 250/week, hope to hit 10-11% BF by the time I reach my bulking calories (3rd Sept).
Medium term goal = 160 lbs @ 10% body fat by April 2011
long term goal = 180 lbs, 10% body fat

I would guesstimate I started around 17% bf and ended around 10.5% to 11.5%.

Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic member of the glucocorticoid class of steroid drugs. just sayin...

Im not trying to say in any way you took roids fr BB purposes but.. its just hard to believe it didnt have an effect.. I met the parents of a 5 year old kid Friday who took Decadron to help cure her brain tumor.. She tripled her weight in 4 months and was eating like a grown man!

No no, you definitely misunderstood Decadron's mechanism. Decadron as you pointed is a potent glucocorticoid, even up to 20x times stronger than base Cortisol. For bodybuilding you want to limit cortisol at all costs, it is only catabolic to the muscle proteins. Of course it has many therapeutic benefits, but it is a "catabolic" steroid, the inverse of an "anabolic" one! For muscle tissue building/maintenance it has no "benefit", it actually "feeds" from it.

Cortisol increases weight gain, not the good one for that matter.

I lifted 2on/2off. As I said, barely any cardio. No cheat meals, always at a deficit of around 800 calories.

I lost decent chunk of strength, but you can expect that while on a deficit. I don't think I lost that much muscle though. Along with the regular side effects of strong dieting: loss of strength, huge loss of libido, increased appetite. Which is slowly coming back.

    Good job.

I'm suprised by the amount of cardio you did.

cardio doesn't really add that much imo. I don't do any cardio except walking a few places here and there (like to shops), nothing I'd really call cardio. I'm losing 1% BF a week (~2 lbs fat).

    Look at it this way:

    cardio 20 minutes a day = 500 cals
    eat a bit less a day = 500 cals

same deficit. obviously you don't get the benefits of cardio if you don't do it, but in terms of fat loss rate, it doesn't make a huge difference. I also noticed once I cut out the cardio, I had more energy for my lifting and my lbm started increasing.

Cardio is good, but not necessary.
starting stats 08/4-158.5 lbs,95cm waist, ~25% body fat
current stats 16/7-146 lbs, 81cm waist, ~13.0% body fat

    original short term goal = 16 July = 12% BF.

Completely agree. I reserve cardio for a last resort in case hunger gets too excessive or I'd want to drop below single digit, and isn't happening anytime soon.

Also, thanks everyone for the positive feedback, I really appreciate it.
