This band's album is great! It features former members of Evanescence but, to me, sounds better than that band.
From Wikipedia: We Are the Fallen is a rock band consisting of former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson, Marty O'Brien and former Evanescence members Ben Moody, John LeCompt, and Rocky Gray. The band's name is an allusion to Evanescence's 2003 album, Fallen, which has resulted in criticism for their very similar sound to Evanescence.
Video for their first single Bury Me Alive from the album We Are the Fallen:

another un-original band! They sound exactly like Evanescence!
With two founding members that's what will happen but I disagree that they're exactly alike. We Are The Fallen sounds... different. It just seems to have a better quality to it performance-wise.
It's what Evanescence would have progressed too.

lol i thought you were talking about the song "we the fallen" by psyclon nine, which would have been odd cuz i just mentioned it the other night, and not too many people probably know about the band (aggro/industrial).

Have to agree with this.
Way to many Evanescence clone bands out there.
That said, the song bury me alive is not bad. In other words, I don't change the station from Octane to Lithium when it comes on, like I do when anything from Five Finger Death Punch comes on.
Jeez they suck.

Never heard of the band (don't listen to new (new = post 1980's, lol) music much), and figured it'd be a mistake to click the link. Hmmm...I think they have a great sound. Nice tune with well done, haunting vocals that fit it well. 2 criticisms; it's a 3:20 min song with an extra 1:47 filler at the end. No signature guitar work/solo at any juncture in the song (beginning intro excepted). Not necessarily vital, but imo, could have made a huge difference in a song that "builds" so nicely like this one does.

I liked it!
unfortunately guitar solo's died a painful death during the hair metal era of rock.
I always liked a good tastefully done solo, but during the malmsteen/Via/Gilbert etc era of rock the masturbatory excesses displayed by many guitarists killed the art of the solo.
people just got tired of seeing how many notes could fit into a measure.
(all my opinion of course)

^These. Their sound reminds me of Snake River Conspiracy without balls.

Sir, Dethklok still does a fine job of using guitar solos.

When it comes to guitar solos I'll take someone capable of milking every note of all it's emotion. People like Stevie Ray, Gary Moore, or even Slash before the speed demons. (all my opinion of course)
As for the song, I was playing it and the wife asked is that new Evanescence? Even Evanescence weren't going to get away with doing the same songs over and over, thus being the next band to do what amounts to the same songs... meh. And give me Amy Lee over this chick any day!!
