    Cardio before or after?

I usually do it before my workout but on some of the supplements I've taken in the past it said to do it after the workout to get better results. Which is better?

If you are trying to build or at least maintain your muscle mass, then doing cardio afterwards would be best. By then you have used up most of the glycogen in your system. Then you will go into a fat burning mode more quickly after the workout.

Not only that, but doing moderate cardio - like a walk at a moderate pace for 30 minutes - will help drop your cortisol levels.

Isnt the best time to do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach? I read that is when you burn the most calories.

I've tried this before and I really can't do it because I feel like I'm going to puke and I have no energy. Hoping for some helpful feedback on this as well.

Your exercise selection will dictate how many calories you burn. The reason people do fasted cardio is to try to burn more calories from fat, due to depleted glycogen stores.

Here is some info from someone far more knowledgeable on the subject than I:

A short cardio warm up is fine if you find it necessary. If your priority is resistance training, then it should be kept short such that it does not introduce fatigue thus negatively affecting the resistance training session. However, some find that they perform better by doing some cardio first. So there really is no black and white answer.

Of course, separate sessions could be an option.

Then here is a quick dialogue between in10 and I about the cardio after a workout:
