Exclamation The TRUTH about Pro Bodybuilding

Whats up guys, havent posted here in a while because of a lot going on between work and the kids. For those of you that dont know me, I was a top level national competitor and came within one placing of earning an IFBB pro card a couple of times.

I want you guys to understand what pro bodybuilding is really about. It isnt about who trains the hardest - most guys are barely awake when they are working out. Dont believe that Ronnie Coleman trained with the intensity you see in the DVD's, he trained like that to sell a persona when on camera. Everyone does the same exercises, and the same workout routines, and they workout basically the same as every 120lb kid in the local YMCA that wants to get big. Its not about nutrition. Everyone eats chicken, fish and sweet potatoes pre-contest and despite what FLEX magazine tells you, everyone eats ice cream and fast food in the offseason. Its not even about genetics anymore. To become a top competitor in the first place you have to have muscle shape genetics that are pleasing to the judges so basically everyone in the group has the same basic shape genetics. To get to that level everyone has great androgen sensitivity so it isnt even about personal response to gear. All that it is about is pushing the dosage of the peptides and the insulin and who can handle the side effects at the higher dosages.

Why do you think that ever since the judges started rewarding the biggest guy on stage, the most dominant champions have also had the most obvious signs of negative side effects? Take a look at Coleman, Yates, Cutler (although he does an outstanding job of hiding it, you can spot certain red flags if you know what to look for) and Greene as a few current examples. Everyone at this level has the same genetics, the same muscle shape and the same training and diet. The guys that broke away from the pack took certain substances to dosages that no one had dared before.

Interesting read. I told my dad who's a construction worker to read it but he said "WOAH son." Then he dropped a line I would have never expected. Sure enough. A misc meme. He leaned in close, and whispered in my ear. "Too long, didn't read, son."

Didn't you post this same fuking thing the last time you made a new thread? Yes, we know it's all about the gear at the professional level. What you don't seem to understand is not everyone's goal is to look like Ronnie or Jay. A lot of the dudes on this website want to be athletic, but not massive. Others like myself just want more strength and are into powerlifting/strongman which are highly tested for gear and therefore it's really hard to take it without being denied competition.

I don't see why you coming on here and trying to crush other people's motivation to work out 'because this will never be you without drugs' is really helping anyone.

Almost every single pro and top level competitor has involved in 'gay for pay' to some degree. Maybe not to the actual extent of intercourse but muscle worship, wrestling, letting people oil them, posing naked, etc in return for money to buy drugs and food, publicity and occasionally higher placings in certain shows (there are a number of judges that are notorious for being 'bought' with these activities). Most younger competitors at the national and junior national level do not hold jobs that can pay for cost of living, transportation, food and drugs to get even bigger so they appeal to generally older, upper-middle class guys who will give them a monthly allowance in return for being able to oil them up on the weekends or wrestle with them.

I stopped competing years ago. I am, however, on HRT and thyroid meds for the rest of my life as a result of the drug protocol at that level of competition.

Others like myself just want more strength and are into powerlifting/strongman which are highly tested for gear and therefore it's really hard to take it without being denied competition.

I don't see why you coming on here and trying to crush other people's motivation to work out 'because this will never be you without drugs' is really helping anyone.
I am not trying to crush anyone's dreams. I am trying to save them from wasting a decade of their life and causing permanent damage to their HPTA, thyroid, liver and heart. Most guys on here idolize the physiques of people who are tons and tons of drugs. What most people on here dont see, because it usually takes the clarity of hindsight, is that bodybuilding is a culture of body dysmorphia fueled drug abuse with very little payoff.

Also, I dont understand your reference to strongman/powerlifting being devoid of steroids, growth peptides and insulin. Every competitive powerlifter and strongman is on tons of drugs, most of them not even for humans. They are just different drug protocols and dosages then bodybuilders.

Its not cycling that does it. Its the fact that to achieve the size necessary to become a top national or pro competitor, you can never come off the drugs. When pros talk about taking time off, they mean they are cruising on a 1+ grams of test, gh, igf-1 and a boatload of ancillaries. "On" refers to the addition of all the other anabolics, slin, and the various obscure growth factors, adrenal agonists and thyroid hormones (although lately most guys are too scared of stopping the slin which is why its almost impossible to spot a small waist on stage in the top levels lately).
