    Question Pre-workout protein shake replacement

I'm trying to replace my protein shakes little by little so I can be as low as 2 a day at least. Right now I take 1 with breakfast, 1 pre-workout, 1 post-workout (in water) and 1 whey/casein blend before bed. Currently I want to replace my pre-workout shake. It is about 210-220 calories (33g protein) and I would like to stick around that. I was thinking about eating 5-7 slices of ham which should be close enough to the shake in calories and protein. You guys have any ideas or recommendations? My next change would be the bedtime shake which I could probably replace with some cottage cheese and stuff. Thanks.

30 min piror to. Practically no carbs, whatever is on 8oz skim milk. Current protein is pretty natural. I'm thinking of dumping the pre-workout shake and just drink some milk with some ham or something.

I would dump the pre-WO shake. I never saw any real benefit if the rest of your solid food diet has good amounts of protein through out the day. I think post, and before bed are the most important times to get a shake in..

That's what I'll end up doing. I'm never hungry before my pre-workout shake and I guess all I need is some carbs or energy to help me get through the workout.
