    I only got 6 hours of sleep last night, should I work out?

    I know ur supposed to get about 8 hours of sleep per night minimum when lifting heavy 5-6 times a week. I went to the casino last night and played som black Jack. Only got 6 hours.

    I HATE missing the gym, what would benefit my body more. Hit the gym as usual and just make it a point toget 8-9 hours tonight of sleep, or just skip today and start back up tomorrow.

    Ps I feel way fat and worthless and mushy if I skip a day, but maybe my muscles will grow more with less stress if I take a day off? Idk the science
    The gym is my dream girl. She's always there when you need her. She builds you up. She doesn't judge you, but does encourage you. She doesn't flake.     Yeah. training heavy 6 times a week is not a good idea. And getting 6 hours sleep is no reason to piss your pants.

    plus you don't always need perfect conditions to get off your ass and just do it .. if you really hated missing a workout soooooooo much, you wouldn't even think 2 less hours of zZz's means stay at home

    i think there's plenty of people here who've had less sleep than that, got up to work 8-10 hr shifts and went to the gym afterwards lol, myself included. juz fukin go

    6 hours is fine for me, if i get less than 5 i get pissed off. make sure when you're on rest days, or other days as a matter of fact, get atleast 7-8. i would recommend getting ZMA for crazy sleeps. i usually get 6-8 hours a night, and ZMA makes me feel like i got 10+. its really nice

    Depends if youre feeling tired? the worst is hitting the gym and you really arent feeling it. when that happens i just leave. so annoying


    when i hit the gym twice first time i go i do cardio for an hour, when i go back i lift weights or do a sick session of a leg workout

    Thanks for the responses, guys. Yes even a few of you who came off as jerks, don't appreciate that but appreciate your input.

    Nah I'm not whining I actually feel fine after 6 hours. The reason I posted is because I've heard the three cardinal rules of effective bodybuilding is diet: eat good and eat enough, lift: lift heavy and work hard, and sleep: get sufficient amount of sleep as this is the time when ur muscles truly repair themselves.

    Alright I think I'll hit up the gym and just try and get maybe 9 hours of sleep tonight to make up for it.

    No man, there's nothing wrong.. Anyway you can always take a 20min nap.. that's more than sufficient to recover yourself in case you need it. Also, you gotta eat very well when you didn't sleep good.

    is this true? i had zma for first time last night and although i slept same as usual, i did feel more refreshed in the morning. just wondering if it was a one off or it generally makes you feel more rested.

    Why not fine tune it to where I can show maximum progress in any time given.

    You got 6 hrs of sleep, no biggie. I sleep 6 hours a day everyday of the week because of all of my homework and tests, but I still make good gains. You should workout today and then get a good sleep. Remember, sleep doesn't get you big, working out does.
