    Alternative protein for breakfast?

I need to find an alternative protein to eat in the morning seeing that i dont like egg whites.
My daily diet looks like this:

8am - Oats made with water

    11am - whey shake

1pm - protein & veggies (sometimes some brown rice too)

    4pm - whey shake

    7pm - protein & veggies

Need to get some protein from a food source first thing in the morning. I cant just add another whey shake? Or can I?

nah, you can toss in another shake - it won't do any damage. Protein from real food does have a higher thermogenic value to the body though (ie. more caloric content is spent breaking proteins into amino acids), this may aide in fat loss, for obvious reasons!

You can have whatever you want protein wise... chicken, turkey, fish... I usually go with either eggs or whey though. Chicken meal 1 isnt that bad actually. Fish is a little wierd at times but when I ran out of whey once, I ate tuna for breakfast.

Might be a stupid question, but... if you don't like egg whites, why not try whole eggs? Add a little seasoning, some peppers, some meats, maybe some salsa or something -- spice it up and add some flavor.

If not -- cottage cheese, chicken, turkey... all work great. MorningStar (veggie) breakfast sausage patties aren't half bad either.

Have you tried the SmartCarb #1 Bread from Julian Bakery? 12 grams of protien per slice, 12 grams of fiber and 1 net carb. 2 slices gives a great protien source and starting out with a high fiber source for breakfast has other benefits!

it wont be a huge protein boost, but you could make your oats with skim milk instead of water. they'll taste better too
