When does the initial weight loss from eating clean slow down?

I just want to know when to expect it because I'm getting really excited over my weigh loss(6 lbs since I started eating clean and stopped binging last Tuesday!). If it's going to slow down at some point I need some warning lol. I've only got 11 more pounds until my goal, which seems really acheiveable(and quickly!) at this rate! Anyone have any idea if/when it slows down?

When you lose that fast you can count on most of it being water. Realistically you probably lost about 1 pound of fat and 5 pounds of water. It should slow down this week and drop down to around a pound a week. Some weeks you may not even see the scale change, or it may go up due to water fluctuations. That's why relying on the scale is such a bad idea. You need to use measurements, progress picts, and how your clothes fit. A 1 pound a week loss is what you should fall into. Even then you'll need to assess after 4-6 weeks, not weekly.

Thank you...I was curious about this too since I just reduced my calories and lowered my carbs(substantially) a few days ago and have lost several "lbs". I knew it had to do with water weight but was curious as to when the initial drop would stop.

I've lost inches all over my body as well, that's why I was a bit surprised that all this weight has come off so fast. My calories aren't too low, and I meant 6 lbs since I started working out.. I lost 2 lbs when I started in April, then I stayed at 130 constantly.. then I cut out binging last Tuesday(finally!) and lost 2 lbs from that and then it was at 128 and not budging so I started eating clean just on Friday, and I've lost 2 more lbs. Is that still likely water weight?

Oh, and I'll be taking a progress photo tomorrow morning to see how much of a difference I can see.

I'm pretty sure losing water does make you lose inches as well....basically de-bloating/puffing your body. I'm sure *some* of the loss is fat though so it's encouraging.

Alright, thanks! It's just a little discouraging to hear it's all water, then again I've still got 11 lbs and a lot of inches to lose, which I think will make a huge difference.

You can eat clean all day long and stay the same weight, or even get fat, lol. Its not how "clean" you eat, its your cal intake. I have always been a whole foods eater and I have gotten chubby on it many a time! Just sayin'.

Well if you think about it 2 pounds is 7000 calories. Do you really think you were at a 7000 cal deficit?

Don't be discouraged by it, it's part of dropping cals/carbs. Scale weight can be crazy anyway. Go by the inches. That's what matters.
