Ever get lazy on your day off and eat nothing but eggs all day?
So I woke up @ 8ish to go to the gym. Before leaving I had 4 eggs and some strawberries.
After my workout, I didn't want to wait till I got home to eat again [I haven't been into the whole postworkout feeding window for a while] so I cracked open an avocado that I had picked up from the farmers market on the way to the gym.
When I got home, I was feeling really lazy and totally didn't feel like cooking the steak that I had put in the fridge to thaw so I said, "screw it, 4 more eggs"..... w/a big bowl of leafy greens of course.
Well a few hours later I got hungry again and said screw it, if I didn't feel like grilling steak then I sure don't feel like it now.... so lo and behold, 4 more eggs and half of another avocado.
So now I'm up to 12 eggs and it's almost 5pm. I'll probably eat again around 8 or 9 ish and since I'll have to get up off my ass to get ready because I'm going out tonight, I SHOULD have plenty of initiative to cook up the steak.
But in actuality, I've only eaten 2 more eggs than I normally do in a day since my breakfast consists of 6 eggs and my dinner is usually 4 more eggs.
And YES, I'm referring to WHOLE eggs WITH the yolk.. egg whites are for teh gheyz!!!
I do snatch pulls in the gym so I can do snatch pulls in the bars. And I ALWAYS use a hook grip.

Can't say as I have.
But I do eat 5-6 whole eggs every day, regardless.
For dinner I need meat. Eggs just won't do.

When I was single I did that too, only on Sundays.
It was a ritual: Grocery store ---> Cook ---> Load Fridge.
I try to do certain things still on Sunday, like boil a couple dozen eggs and cook a bunch of chicken breasts and wrap in foil.

How hard is it to make steak in your house?
If I'm feeling to lazy to fire up the grill it goes in a pan with some olive oil and onions. I sure don't go to the trouble of cooking eggs instead.

LOL> Exactly.
I have a cast iron grilling thingy that goes in the oven for cooking steak if I don't want to do it on the grill outside, which is rare. I grill all year round.
And then there is always the steak stirfry, steak fajita, etc.
In fact, now that I think about it, Keltron needs to be negged.

I hate having to "pre-cook" food. Cooking it and eating it give me roughly the same level of satisfaction. The market where I get my meat uses a local butcher, all very fresh. The chicken I grill today was pecking this morning or yesterday. My wife wants to "load up the freezer" not me. Love it fresh, fresh, fresh.

Being "too lazy to cook steak" strikes me as odd. Not "too lazy" to post about it online though. Hmm any tickets left for that neg train? I might need a business class seat.

Ok, so this got me wondering. Are eggs really the best whole food protein source out there. Not to prove anyone wong. It just made me curious. So I did a little research
Here is the nutrient and amino acid profile of a whole hard-boiled egg (note that over 100 on an amino acid profile means that it is considered a "complete protein")

source: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/d...products/117/2
I did a search and found that atlantic cod is actually slightly better:

source: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/f...roducts/4044/2
If you eliminate the yolk and just eat the white, it's closer, but cod still wins if you are just comparing amino acid profiles (148 to 145).

Of course, there are a lot of other factors to consider and amino acid profile may not be the best comparison tool. I just thought it was interesting

Not with eggs, but popcorn for sure. Made some last night. The left over would carry me for all three main meals, plus my scheduled snacks.
I could sprinkle Whey powder on the popcorn...... Now I am just being silly.....wait.....
