Rows are something I've never been too fond of maxing or using too much weight with. i've gotten 225 for reps but i always felt like it was just going through the motions

I prefer Yates Rows...they give me more extension....doing them super slow...for 12-15 reps...

at that point the weight on the bar doesn't even matter. usually ill stick with 135 and 185. feels good man
    I rep back.

How do you guys do this? I want to put this in my routine, I'm growing tired of doing dumbbell rows.

Every time I try doing barbell rows I simply feel it in my lats like I'm doing chin ups. Isn't it supposed to target something else though? Should I hold it higher up near my chest or something?

Also, do you bend to a 90 degree angle or do you just bend slightly with the back straight?

    Perfect form demonstration please.

not 90 degrees. you're going to be above 90 degrees... it's kind of preference. pull the bar to your stomach, not your chest. pulling it to your chest (called a row to chest) is actually a rear delt exercise.

yates rows don't have to be underhand.. dorian yates did them both ways but preferred a normal overhand grip. According to yates underhand will hit the lower lats more.

245x6 several months ago. Will try on my next back day, I'm not a big fan of barbell rows I prefer cable rows. Decent imo, not perfect, but not horrible. Again, will try next week and see how it goes.

^ these look a bit too upright but you get the point
Hmmm.. I'm not liking the short range of motion with this

Is it supposed to target anything that you cant hit with regular rows?
