Hey Guys new to this, currently i have a 1,000 sq ft facility, with an Rogue like( a buddy of mine built it) I-14 rack in it, so there is 4 racks built into it. Along with an air dyne, concept 2 rower, treadmill, elliptical, 3 Olympic bars and just about 500 pound of plates, and then DB 10-50 and two adjustable benches, 53lb kb as well. I definitely need more weights. My questions is how much should i be looking at for metal plates per pound on craiglist, what is a good deal and what isnt a good deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I understand not posting the link, wouldn't want anyone to snag it up haha. I am very familiar with OSUDimond as we used to work for the same company and now he left to do his old gym and I am left to try to replace the gym that he took all of his stuff out of. Very business driven guy and hard worker.

Bought a weight set from a coworker and it came with two 25 pound Ivanko plates. They are gold in color. Are these worth more than normal used plates? I pretty much paid 50 cents a pound.

Rogue makes quality stuff... I'd say its a decent deal... He mentioned having more equipment for sale... I would say that if you can tell him that you can pick up today and pay cash asking what else would he include with the rack would be reasonable...

I tend to agree. I'd need to see it less than $500 to be attracted. I'd rather spend the extra hundred and buy it new....especially with Rogues history of putting racks on the "3 ships free" list. Get him to throw in the spotter arms, some plates/chains, or a bar and then MAYBE pay $600.

Came out to like 38 cents a pound without including all the bars, rack, and tree. I'm relisting it for 60 cents/pound, even if I have to negotiate down to 50 cents/pound I'll make $100 profit on just the weights. I have no idea what a good listing price for the rest of the items is though. Found the rack online for $45. I couldn't find the Cybex weight tree (at least not this version, found brand new ones for $450 but thats crazy). Has normal usage but it looks to be commercial grade. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I would keep the Cybex tree if you don't absolutely need the extra money... I have one just like it just different color (bought mine for $50 on CL) and think its a good/solid tree. I like the fact that it can hold the bars as well...

I already have a tree that holds bars, it's not as heavy duty as this one but it works fine for me. I think I'll list it at $75 that way I can get at least $50 out of it if they try to negotiate it down. Thanks for the help.

I'd keep the Cyber one. Flip to upgrade. I tapped a hole in the top of my Cybex and bolted down an aluminum Bowl for chalk.

Pretty good deal. Most half decent FID's go for $60-100. Make sure you sit in it and test for wobbliness.

Are you positive those are Ivanko's? The Hamptons seem overpriced, but I suppose it depends on the models.

No I am not 100% sure still trying to get pics of the ends of the bars.... That would be the best way to tell right?

Yes, Ivanko's will have model #'s stamped on the ends. They made several models, but the sleeve flanges don't look wide enough & the ivanko curl bars I've seen had rings. This *could* be a Cap or Troy.

I don't know enough about the Hamptons to give good advice.
