Not sure about the preacher. Lat machine is a little on the high side. I sold a similar one for $275 last spring but it was missing the double pulley for the low row option ,and it did have the low pulley wheel so it probably broke and was not replaced. I would offer $300 and see if he counters

Nebula is one of the very best brands. It still comes down to condition.

I can't post the pic of the nebula preacher curl bench because I am new here but it is on the chicago craigslist under the city of bolingbrooke. It looks flawless. Thanks ffrink for the lat pulldown advice, I think I am going to wait a little longer and build my cash up.

The only thing about this nebula bench is the cushion seems really thin, but the frame is really heavy duty. I would think a thicker arm cushion would be more ideal.

I just sold a similar setup that was a tuff stuff+bench for $700, but the guy paid too much I thought. I had picked it up for $350 including 400 pounds of weights. So I'd say get him down a little bit to $500 or so, and it's a decent haul, but not amazing deal. There is the same setup in dallas right now for $400. I don't know if you want to drive at all. Also watch San Antonio, b/c I travel there for business, and I will sometimes score some deals there and drive them up to Austin, pop them in my garage and re-sell.

Weights+barbell are the easiest thing in the world to score on craigslist cheap. Be patient and you will grab a set for $75 bucks.

For that price you can buy a basic Texas Strength Systems rack new out of San Antonio, and pick it up to save on shipping and grab some weights and bench on Craigslist , which is what I will be doing with my flipping money. That's one you'll never break and have for life.

I'd low ball him at $400 or $450, and pass if he won't budge.

Plus that bench WILL piss you off since it's so cumbersome.

I'll keep a look out for you as well.

That is an excellent deal IMHO. The dumbbells alone could be flipped to recoup the $300.

Oh man that's an awesome deal down in Miami everything I'm looking for to start my home gym! Too bad it's an 8hr drive.

And I think everyone convinced me to go with a power rack since the w-4 doesn't offer any real advantages and has to be bolted to the wall. At first i was just set on mimicking my buddies home gym

Yeah, I think Miss. St, Iowa State, And South Carolina all recently bought new equipment. Tennessee also built a new football complex but I never did see any of their old gear for sale.

I heard their shirts contain a chemical known to cause cancer. I wouldn't use them if you paid me. Be warned buddy, those are guaranteed cancer. You'll be dead in 6 months if you use it.

    Hope that helps.

There is a body masters seated preacher curl in SE Wisconsin and the guy is asking 150 dollars. He also has a hammer strength preacher curl and he is asking 250 dollars. I wish i could buy the body masters(seems like an awesome deal).

I can also vouch for this guy. I went to school with him, he's about the most honest and fair guy you'll find. Fantastic price as well!

i found the ad, but those are some garish colors on the hammer strength one . there was a nice red one with black pads near me for 200 but i didn't have it at the time.

these people are gonna sell me this preacher curl bench. not my first choice but i put a deposit of $5 down, and 100 more to go. i bought the seated military press stool from them for $65.

it does come with the seat pad they just didnt' post a pic of it for whatever reason.

So I'm in the market for a power rack, bench, bar and weights. A whole setup since the only thing I have right now is the original bowflex and some dumbbells. I stumbled across this ad and it seems intriguing although I'm unsure of the difference between a standard power rack and this type of unit: longisland.craigslist.org/spo/3556697035.html
(I don't have enough posts to embed links, sorry)

Looks like a great all-in-one and I've read here that Parabody is a terrific brand so I'm hoping this is a good deal. But if I'd be far better off with a regular power rack as opposed to this, I'll keep looking. Thanks in advance.

Looks overpriced. Might be a Parabody 874 bench, which is nice, but there is a standard bar and 150lbs of plates to go with the unit. Not that hard to find a full power rack and 300lb Olympic set for that money.
