Yeah, I'll have the room. The crossover would be nice. They seem to be expensive new.
I'm not a fan of smith machines, but for the price, I could use it for a few burn out sets at the end just to get a pump or something. Hell, I could just use the bar for weight storage, lol.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

They do appear short in the pic, but I've never had a problem with mine. I think the spacing on them is a bigger issue for folks with narrow shoulders. The guy I bought my rack from said that hr had only used the dip handles a couple times because the spacing was too wide.

Hey thanks again man, the seller was a nice guy that just got divorced and was selling his stuff. It was strange he had all Dicks sporting goods stuff (Fitness Gear plates, curl bar, etc) but had the nice OB84 Ivanko bar as well. He agreed to my $100 offer last night and I picked it up a few hours ago. She's sitting peacefully in the front seat of my truck. Perfectly straight and in great condition. Reviews are right the knurl is nice and aggressive how I like it.

That is good to know! I didnt end up bidding on the dip since I order the dip attachment with my Reflex rack. But I did end up winning 3 Streamline pieces, overhead tricep, standing delt, glute kickback. I've never tried their stuff but it looks good. They looked like pretty unique pieces and I like trying stuff I've never seen before. Here are some pics, I pickup next week. Also the OB84 is yours when I decide to sell it, I cant wait to get my rack so I can use it.

I'm not a pro at this, but that seems like a really good price. Anything w/ weight stacks start to get really costly. Might be able to drop the guy down to $250, because most people won't have room for this. Unless there's something wrong with it, I can't see how that's an unfair price.
Keep on moving. I have a heavy duty reverse hyper. That unit looks like it'll break if you jump on it wrong. It also looks like it takes standard plates.
Reverse Hypers can shift a little (on a flat, concrete surface at least) & having such a light unit seems odd. If you plan on loading it up (and it's easy to do once you get stronger on it), you really want a solid machine.
You know, looking at it now, it's made of wood! What a pos!Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

Looks like it could be a home model made back around 2009. Anyway, I'm betting that it is not made of wood other than maybe the padded top.

I cannot post links, but the image on the Westside Barbell site makes me think she is really small or that RH is huge. Either way it does not strike me as gym worthy for heavy guys.

They're fairly large. 40" x 48" and 42"
I don't have much experience with reverse hypers but I'm not completely convinced that it's worth the gym real estate. Otherwise I would have bought the one that's $10. Maybe I'm over simplifying things but wouldn't a high flat surface and a pair of vintage iron boots replicate most of its function.
I seems like there's no real demand for them in my area if it takes more than 6 months to sell at $10.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

IMO, a RH is totally worth the space. It takes up a lot of room in my garage(and space is def at a premium) but I'd sell a whole lot of other things before I'd sell my reverse hyper. I got mine cheap for about $200, and after using it for the past few years I can honestly say that if it ever breaks I'll ante up the big cash for another one.
It's definitely a huge plus for strength athletes. Nothing feels better after a lot of heavy squats. Probably not worth it for bodybuilders though.()---() York Barbell Club #54 ()---()

Not saying that this is a great price. Just posting because I think that it is a cool looking dumbbell spotting shoulder press bench.

Thanks for the feedback. I've almost bought that one for $10 several times but I keep changing my mind. Last time I decided to buy it the ad expired but the seller relisted it again. I'm headed that way for something else later this week. McGill says "The hip extension (reverse hyper) machine is an excellent trainer for hip extension but imposes a large posterior shear load on the back. It will create back troubles in some and should be considered with great caution."
That is super cool.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

I would think for the rehab benefits it'd be worth $10. Even if you decide against using it as a strength building tool, you can slap a couple quarters on there and get the disc health benefits and hip extension without knee flexion.
From Louie: “The reverse hyper machine will not only build the hamstrings, glutes, and spinal erectors but also traction the lower back by rotating the sacrum and rehydrating the disks.”
And hey, for $10 if you don't like it you can use it as pendulum weight storage.()---() York Barbell Club #54 ()---()
