Does anyone have any leads on a Lat Pulldown / Low Row machine or a multi-gym unit with those two pieces in the NC area? I have been searching on my local CL for months and haven't found anything, Govdeals has not been helpful either. I haven't quite gotten to the point where I'm willing to pay retail however.

You can try these guys, they are in Hickory. Inventory changes a lot. I might go over there next week. I can look for something.

These guys just moved from Conover to Charlotte. Contact Chris Stubbs.

I think that this is a side business for this person. I think that they have something to do with 26-fitness as well.

I am not sure about these guys as I have not done business with them.

just got back from a 4hour trip i picked up 430lbs of plates and a plate tree for $160 bucks and they arent rusted over . so now im looking for a squat rack or cage. in texas where i live brownsville.
I found this marcy smith machine and found mixed reviews on it, my wife likes smith machine cuz she can roll the bar forward and doesnt need a spotter every time she does failure sets. what do you guys think....if i could find a cage i'd get one but cant find any right now unless i do a 6 hour drive so i might make a wooden one and use this smith machine. ......i talked him down to 380 so far

I think you should reread all the replies to the post you made about a nearly identical Marcy Smith.

Buying it new or used is a bad decision. That price is terrible also. But if you really want it despite the prior advice, there's really not much point in asking for advice again.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

I was hoping this version was better since the man told me it had some kind of bushings that made it comparable to commerical versions and i figured for 380 itd be a good deal. im hoping i can find a power rack but the only i'd find one is if it was online, there hasnt been one posted up in about a year or so. are the $300-400 cages worth it on amazon?

The rack that deadwoodgregg posted is nice. Someone posted that the delivery was cheaper if you could have it shipped to a commercial address with a dock rather than a residence.
Since you live in Texas, you might be able to save on shipping if you picked up a rack from Texas Strength Systems. http://www.texasstrengthsystems.com/powerracks.html I think the $535 base price includes shipping (check to make sure) so you should be able to get it for cheaper with pickup. I'm not recommending this rack since I haven't used it but check the reviews. I posted it because it is local for you and it seems to be in the price range that you are looking at.
I suggest looking at those racks and reading through the Power Rack thread and search for reviews on the ones that interest you. When you narrow down your list, maybe make a new post asking for help choosing between the ones that you've selected.Last edited by morebarbell; 07-09-2013 at 05:09 PM.

I think some of them have been repainted... maybe all of them. Ask the seller if they're marked "M series" on the back. If they're not, then they aren't machined.
My guess is that they are a mix of O2B and repainted O... probably not repainted OM but I can't tell for sure from the photos.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

This might be far depending on where you are, but if you want Ivanko plates, and aren't set on OM/O plates, you can get O2B for 50 cents/lb if you get over 500 lbs. These have been posted for awhile, so you might also be able to convince the seller to deliver.

I'm going to give these folks a ring. My budget is around $300 which is tough 'cause I'm trying to get commercial quality.
Thanks for thinking of me man, not quite what I'm thinking of but I like your modifications!
The commercial quality stuff is usually double my budget and that's before shipping, there's little available locally on E-bay. I know deals can be had, it just takes time."Everybody wanna be BIG; don't nobody wanna lift no heavy ass weight-- but I do." ~Ronnie Coleman

Good luck on finding a commercial combo lat/row. I just don't see those at used equipment resellers. Stand alone units will be much easier to find if you have the space. Auction sites would probably be your best chance at finding a combo unit that may have come from a high school or small college. An auction site would also be your best chance of finding one within your budget.

I'm looking for a power rack, weights, bar and bench to get my garage gym going. I want to do it for under $500. This listing covers everything except for the bench, but I'm curious about the rack.
westernmass.craigslist.org/spo/3919523210.html
(can't post as a link because I'm new here)
Anyone know anything about this "Competition" brand power rack or recognize the picture? Is this some other common entry level rack but rebranded? As a total n00b, all my lifts (except deadlift) are below 200lbs, so this should suit my needs for a while. But if the rack is a total piece of crap I'll steer clear. Any advice would be appreciated.
