This is an ideal bench for shallow racks or racks with the lower crossbar directly in line with the rear uprights. The seat portion of the bench slides to the rear as you incline the bench, which makes incline bench press possible in shallow racks.

I tried to set up a meeting with this guy almost a month ago and he couldn't meet me that day. I must have sent 3 or 4 more e-mails trying to set up a time to meet and he never answered any of them. I'm assuming he must have sold them.

That will be quite the task. Having recently purchased the two largest Nautilus machines in that auction (a duo squat and a double chest - over 1200lbs each), I would hate to have to move them out of a basement. That would be a rough job for two people.

1) Search multiple cities CL (within # of miles from my zip) and for multiple keywords and negative keywords (to help refine search)

2) Alert me by email/text when very specific keywords (like "power rack")

Actually, these days it seems more likely that colleges just buy new equipment every few years, regardless of use/condition of old equipment. (It is not their money that they are spending!!!!!) So you can find some high end stuff at (relatively) bargain prices

Oh, and I am a longtime Adam Weishaupt fan!

I don't think I've ever seen a worn out piece of strength training equipment. Pads can be recovered and cables/belts/bushings/bearings can be replaced. The paint will show signs of use, but function>fashion...especially since it appears that most of us work out by ourselves.

This statement is so true. Everytime a big time college program gets a new coach, he usually gets a facility update, which includes new workout equipment.

I realized that this might need to have a warning attached. I remember where the gym is located and it probably was flooded during Hurricane Sandy. Beware of what you buy and for how much.

Perhaps equipment is fine and they plan to liquidate and/or relocate on the government or insurance company's dime. I would just go over and check out the treadmills first. I am sure that Hammer Strength stuff is fine.

Nope, just in my area (Marrero) near NOLA. Texted the guy, said he paid over $7,000 for the set up over time. Asking for $4,250. Anything you see in there of good value that I can try to convince him to sell me individually? He wants the whole thing gone.

I'm just not seeing $4k in those pics. I see some mismatched (mostly Weider) plates, a Powerline lat machine, Blowflex fd bench, CAP plate tree, and some other mid-level equipment. The only desirable things I see are the Powerblocks.
