It depends on the brand, model, whether you're looking to flip it or if you're planning on keeping it, and exactly how rusty it is.

A rusty Marcy oly bench? Hell no.

A rusty Cybex commercial oly bench? Probably.

A rusty Nebula or Legend oly bench? Definitely.

Most of us veterans have bought projects (rusty) before and refurbished them. As long as the quality and value is there, it's all good.

    Anyone in NM??

    http://www.coolads.com/gym/page9.html
Found this seller though ebay. There are many pages of stuff to browse through. Look very closely at some of the rusting plates outside! They are the very old unbranded Ivanko plates. Too far away for me to think about but someone close should pick up some of this stuff,

    Ivanko DBs

Is it common for Ivanko DBs to not have the end caps with the Ivanko name and weight? I found a set available but they do not have an end cap, just the bolt. So I am trying to find out if they are really Ivanko DBs. Are there any other markings one can check? Sorry, I do not have any pics.

Anyone familiar with American brand pro-style DBs? I assume that they are a generic brand but wanted to check to see if anyone had any pros or cons. A set is being sold in my area for $.38/lb including rack.

    That was a mouth full.

It does look like a nice app, however, and since you provide a free version I don't see the harm in making a post about it.
It isn't a craigslist ad, however, and it is likely to get lost in a sea of posts within hours, but nonetheless thanks for sharing.

I snagged the bar, but the seller is pretty motivated to get rid of the rest of this stuff.

The 100lb plates I've seen have all been more expensive than the more common denominations, regardless of the brand.

I wouldn't pay $1/lb for them, but I'm sure someone will.

It is all one unit, and the seller has 5 available and will give one free to whoever wants all of them.
I like the design. It seems like this and an Iron Master super bench would be a decent combo.
It may not be super hardcore sturdy, but looks adequate for someone who has limited space and doesn't want a full rack.

People who dont know much about workout equipment probably think "Gold's Gym Quality" is a good thing. I'm guessing the seller is trying to say its good quality, who knows.

This was my understanding as well. There are a great number of people who don't work out, or are new to working out, who see the Gold's Gym name as being synonymous with quality equipment and hardcore lifting. I wouldn't let a seller's lack of knowledge prevent me from going to look at what might actually be a decent bar.

This. I read it as he thinks it's a good bar - like they would use at a Gold's Gym.

Saw this ad andcontacted the seller. He will sell the set for $175 and said he would throw in a weight tree and approx. 100-200 lbs of free weight plates... I'm going to try to split up each item and make a bit of $$

I was going to re-list as:
    PB: $150
    Body Solid Bench: $100
Weight tree with weights at 0.50 a pound and $15 for the tree: between $100-170 depending on poundage

    Think thats doable??

In my market you would be able to get $200-$300 for the power blocks depending if there was a stand included.

This set had no stand. PHX is a hotbed for PB sets right now. This morning a set of sportblocks with stand sold for 120... looked brand new... I was at work and couldnt pick it up.
