Picked this up earlier today for $250. The mark on the pad is just a dent from transport, not a rip it's already out. The things in great shape. It's my first GHD and I'm really happy with it!

Very nice. I don't have the room for a GHD, but I'd make the room for a deal like that.

And what brand would that be? Are you asking what to pay for home use or flipping? The leg press and extension prob could re-sell for about $350 to $450. Other machines might be tougher to sell. Big and heavy to move and need a big room for that stuff.

I would probably resell the leg press and keep the leg curl as well as the tower.

Found this while scouring CL. I'm not interested in the machine (or any machine) whatsoever, but the picture caught my eye. What are the names Ivanko and Impex doing together? I thought the only name-loan was for the crappy dumbbell set sold at Costco. Thoughts?

Depends on where you live. Personally I don't f--k with deals over $.33/lb unless it's a reputable brand like Ivanko. But if the market where you live at isn't really filled with weights for sale then I'd say it's a decent price to pay for keeping, but not flipping.

I haven't paid higher, and that's reasonable, but less is better. York vintage and Ivanko are two brands that go for more than 50 cents/lb., prices of $1/lb or more is not out of the question on certain types of these plates.

One other thing, usually standard (1" hole) plates go for less, 25-35 cents/lb. near me.

You could have a local welder add handles to yours for pretty cheap, especially if you buy the materials beforehand and have everything prepped and ready to weld. A foot of 3/4" black pipe (gas line) from your local hardware store is cheap, sturdy, and would be more than enough to do a pair of handles. It has an OD of about an inch, so bicycle grips should fit (with a bit of coaxing) to finish them off.

no i was saying i thought he bought it to use it. strange to sell it unless he came across another deal. cause seated calves machines where the seat doesn't pivot down are the best. and that one was the only one i know of currently being sold that does not pivot down

It takes me about 45 mins to get to a real highway but then I"m only 45mins away from almost all of the DC, MD, VA market.

true. although after driving to chicago from va and back to buy some stuff from now on if its more than 3 hours i think i'll just pay to have it shipped. wasted too much time driving and it really wears you out. trucker i am not

I'd be happy if there was a local market. Very little shows up. It tends to either sit or go quick. Hard to judge for flipping and I got a couple of pieces I need to flip/sell.

Well, I am really out of room for anything else to store for flipping. Bought three selectorized machnes, a smith, six benches, four bars and 750lb of O plates for $400 last week. In the meantime, I have a new lat machine and pec deck in the gym/showroom!
