it doesn't look like the basecamp based on the feet. it might the basefit. the thing is the basefit is 2x2 tubing as far as i can tell. i wouldn't consider it to be the big brother of the dark horse, which is 3x3 (the basecamp scout is prob the "big brother" of DH). I'd get the darkhorse over the basefit if those specs are true. (not saying this isn't a smoking deal for those who are in the area)

The feet are what's throwing me too - it looks as if that's the basefit bottom, but it also looks as if there are a number of pieces that they didn't put together on those racks.
as far as the differences between DH and basefit - the basefit has holes in all 4 sides of its posts, DH only has front and back. Basefit is physically larger (taller and deeper) but it's only 2x2, whereas the DH is a 3x3 rack with 2x2 plate storage. I'm not sure why this all justifies the DH coming in at 999.00 shipped and the basefit is 1419.00. At those prices the DH is definitely the better deal - but for 850 with a platform, the winner really comes down to preference.
Overall the sorinex website is pretty bad... there's no standardization in the product descriptions and a lot of information is hard to find or just plain missing. With all the success they've been having lately, they should look into updating that.

they say they're in the process of updating their site, which is badly needed. a number of pictures are dated, which can be confusing. if that listing is for basecamps, perhaps it's for an older series? i haven't kept up with sorinex long enough to know their product history.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if this was worth it:
"newyork . craigslist.org/que/spo/3653564462.html"
(Don't have 50 post count so remove spaces between URL)
I'm only going to bench/ squat on this and I'll most likely only go up to 300 lbs.
And what about these weights?
"newyork . craigslist.org/que/spo/3653525885.html" or "newyork . craigslist.org/jsy/spo/3608569176.html"
Thanks in advance for helping a beginner out.

Hello! I'm new to this and not sure what's considered a decent deal on some of this equipment. I'm in the PA/WV/OH tri-state area.
Parabody rack
http ://youngstown.craigslist.org/spo/3618643831.html
Olympic weights/bars
http ://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/spo/3652472015.html
Weights/Bench
http ://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/spo/3648192372.html
I'm not looking for anything over the top. Almost every power rack I see is pretty pricey, and I'm not in the market for that at this point.
Also, same as the poster before me, please remove the spaces in the url as I don't have 50 post count.
Thanks so much to anyone that can help.

Check out the bench in the Dawson ad. I know it is Marcy but if you are starting out and have zero equipment, maye you can talk them down $25 or more, and if the weights are like new (as they often are) that would be a good start. The second ad there is a guy I know and he is farily firm on the price but you can always ask.

Weider C670
Just emailed a guy on Craig's who had this for $100-$150
An in like new condition(It really does look like very good condtions)complete rack with Lat pull an at least 300 pounds of weight.
I had another racked ordered but may cancel if this is to good to pass up. I mean $100 for a rack plus a bunch of extras seem like a good deal.
Now that being said its a crap brand an I think a pretty old model but like I said does the money I save in hundreds of dollars outweigh the bad factors?

Great score! If you have the time, can you measure the unit when being used and in its upright position? I'm trying to see if I can make space for a concept rower.

LOA approx 100 inches. Probably closer to 98-99 but I measured frm bottom back of leg on diagonal to furthest frame point forward, which is about 2.5 feet off the floor.
You do know they fold up and down in about 10 seconds, right? The newest model which I got has changed the attachment point a bit but it is dtill just as fast.

Well as of now LR but I have an outside covered porch so that's where it goes. They do fine outside if you keep them covered and dry. Just lube the chain periodically. And this is in the rainy PacNW too.

Is this a good deal.
seattle.craigslist.***/see/spo/3645310406.html
I talked him down to $500 via email, should I have gone farther?
Plates are 2x45, 2x35, 2x25, a few tens, and a weight tree included.

Are they good quality plates like Ivanko or york, or crap like Weider?
I see a 2x2 rack w/lat, FI(no D) bench, preacher curl attachment (make me think Body Solid or Parabody bench) a few lat attachments plus the plates. At $500 sounds reasonable to me if the plates are decent. Certainly you would spend more to get it all new w/o plates.
If you got nothing now, I'd say go for it. You should be able to flip it all later for better stuff if you want.

Yes, depends on what the market in your area is like. It is a fair price but no steal and Craigslist for where you find steals. I would offer him $450 to buy it today and just check back in a week or so if he says no. You can probably find very similar deals on a regular basis.

This
If you have nothing though, it might be good to start with, and like another poster said you could always sell it for nearly the same price.
You'll come across great deals if you're patient.
I got my parabody power rack with lat, leg, and preacher attachments and adjustable parabody bench for maybe $250?
I got my 125# Ironmasters with bench, dip attachment, crunch attachment, and barbell for $400
I got 8 4x4 rubber interlocking gym floor mats for $4 each
I got about 350# of plates and several dumbbells for about $60
My point is not to brag, but to show what's possible with a little patience and good negotiating on Craigslist. You've got to check daily on CL if you want to score some great deals though because the best ones don't stick around for long.
