Alright so I really need help with coming up with an easy, affordable diet plan. I have a ridiculous metabolism from playing soccer for 15 years and running track for the past 3 years and just can't seem to gain weight, no matter how much I eat!!
The only time I've successfully added weight was before I injured my shoulder 4 months ago.. I was finally gaining on about 3800-4000 clean cals a day, so I need a plan that will put me around there.
I'd appreciate any ideas for complete meals/individual foods that are great to eat.
Here's my rough diet (varies a bit day by day):
Breakfast:
2 Quaker Instant Oatmeals (320 cals)
1 cup OJ (130 cals)
~1.5 servings Organic vanilla yogurt (200 cals, 15g protein)
Lunch:
Turkey w/ Pepper Jack Cheese sandwich on whole grain wheat (like 420 cals, 20g protein)
1 cup skim milk (90 cals, 9g protein)
1/2 cup pistachios (170 cals, 8g protein)
Post-workout (around 3:30 pm)
2 scoops ON whey (260 cals, 48g protein)
2 cups skim milk (180 cals, 18g protein)
1 Raisin bagel (270 cals)
Dinner:
this meal varies depending on what my mom decides to cook, but it always has some sort of chicken/beef dish and I always drink a cup of skim milk and add on some pistachios and maybe somethin else.
estimated total for dinner: 600 cals, 25g protein
5th meal:
2 scoops musclemilk (300 cals, 35g protein)
2 cups skim milk (180 cals, 18g protein)
1/2 cup almonds/peanuts/pistachios (170 cals, 8g protein)
sometimes some cottege cheese or a yogurt if I'm still hungry (120-170 cals, 8g protein)
I'm getting a total of roughly 3300 calories from that, which is definitely not enough.. I don't really know what else to eat though, as I'm usually pretty close to full after each meal. I could POSSIBLY squeeze in another meal if it's ok to eat about 30-45 mins before bed.

Um... how can you possibly go one day without peanut butter???
lol... That should bring you up. Also... why drink skim? Like the other poster said...
Double up on the nuts/pistachios
Add in some cheese. Dried fruit. More yogurt (especially Greek yogurt)I'm a member of bodybuilding.com not Match . com please act accordingly. :)

eggs on oatmeal
How does that taste... I saw Ronnie do it ages ago on his DVD (not sure I could stomache the cheese on top) and though it would be a great way to consume it all at once cause I can't fit in 6 eggs and then oatmeal on top but I assumed it would taste poo??
I might try it tomorrow regardless but I'd still like to knowGetting fit is not that hard... 3 rules apply:
1)Lift heavy Weights
2)Do more Cardio then you are already
3)Improve your diet
