I have done this. It works well. Frankly, you'll have to ease into eating more food. Eat a little more than you are comfortable with, then when that gets comfortable push it up again. You can be eating 4k in no time at all. Whole milk is one of the easiest ways to get these calories, and it's got a great profile.
Ironwake's log is getting updated more inconsistently recently.

Hm, wonder were he is. I see this thread has evolved into discussing taking dumps at school. Ironwake must be proud

Holy wall of text to come back to!
Been incredibly busy the last 2 weeks, wedding/moving/school starting etc etc!
I've been getting to the gym every few days, but with no where near the focus/intensity ( or even diet / rest ) needed. Not really too sure if I'll be logging my workouts for a while until things calm down.
I've also had recent thoughts on switching over to bb type routine, that's where my end goal has been anyways. I had originally decided on focusing on almost nothing but strength for a year.. and I've been lifting for a little over 1 year now.
Thanks for the support guys
PS: Milk >>>
It's a natural part of eating 5k calories a day, imo.Last edited by Ironwake; 09-06-2010 at 10:34 AM.

Awesome, my congratulations! Wish you both a happy life
A little on-topic as well: what about the workout you did during your cut, since you say you're interested in something more aimed at bodybuilding?Training log

Congratulations on your wedding.

I am alive! That's for checking up guys
Hahah, so true.. but the main burden is class/work. I spent way too much time on here browsing etc. Needed a break
Hah! I think I'll be back on here soon.
Mostly correct, except I didn't give up on the gym The last three months have been crazy. I had a really hard semester of classes, plus getting married etc. I switched up my workout to a very simple split that I could fit in whenever I had time... Some weeks I would go 3-4 times, sometimes 1-2...
Next semesters course load will be way less and I'll have a more consistent schedule. I'm not sure what I'm gonna be doing when I get back to serious lifting but we'll see
I'll be catching up on your guys journals over the next few weeks... Finishing up finals atm.Starting Strength... Again! - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169172893
