I must say, I am a little surprised at how little attention Hide has got the last couple days. The fact that he placed second over everyone in NY (Including TONEY FREEMAN!) seems to have passed by undetected.
Not only that, but this was the fourth competition Hide has done this year, and he hasn't lost any ground. In fact, he looks to have even improved since last year. And if he is still doing every American show, he still has 3 more to go!
I feel like he is under everyone's radar. I know a lot of people (including myself) had him fighting for 5th-7th placings, yet he comes in and owns the stage. I think he might just have another win or two under his belt before the Olympia!
In addition to the improvements he has made, his posing is second to none, IMO. I am surprised the judges don't pick up on this. I would have given him the best poser award over Kai. If you didn't see his routine from NY, here is the link. It's definitely worth the watch, especially if you are one who enjoys the more classic type of posing:

I wasn't super impressed with Hide when he first turned up but he's one of those major work horses. Just keeps doing his job and getting better and better. Amazing that he's improving and doing all the shows. Makes a bit of a mockery of all the guys taking whole years off etc. Gaspari Nutrition must be well happy with how he's travelling these days.

i met him europa. really cool guy. everyone is right when you say he has a small structure but he fills it out so well! From the front he is wide as hell for his size. His conditioning is always on, which is awesome considering he does so many shows. He is getting better and better. I am pulling for him to win at least another show before the Olympia and I am sure he will be top three in all of them as long as he isnt off.....
And I know its a stretch but if he can add another 5 lbs or so before the olympia I can see him beating his placing from last year. Possibly sneaking into the top 6 if a guy or two comes in off.....
Awesome guy. One of my favorites right now."There is no such thing as over training, you can only under eat." - Jay Cutler

Well he was underrated in the recent past, but I think he has now proven he is deserving of his recent accomplishments. He does have a great physique and conditioning. He could bring up his back a little more though. As far as the littler guys go, he is definitely one of the best. Smaller guys tend to get lost in the shuffle when compared to the dialed in big guys. I think he has done pretty good so far. I don't think he'll win an O.

Hide's physique is very very appealing, he shoulda appreciate the fact that he isn't as tall as Toney or Wolf are. Also judging by the pictures from Iron Man Pro from last year, he has improved alot since then. You can clearly see more thickness, vascularity, better overall shape. I started to like him after he won Orlando Pro this year. Also the guy has one of the best personalities out there, very down to earth person...
He proved that being short can actually overpower the tall competitors .

The problem is his gentic limitations, he keeps making small improvements but there's not excitement about him or his physique.. He isn't going to blow up anytime soon and be a world beater.. He is what he is and props to him for all the shows he does and the hard work he puts in.
