protein is the only thing you should eat before bed, as carbs turn into fat because they are not being used.

lol eating protein on its own isnt a good idea. Fat helps slow the digestion, its calorie dense (good for bulking), keeps you full and is good for joints and also test production. Carbs are good as some slow digesting carbs will keep your insulin levels steady and I have actually read consuming protein on its own without carbs can make absorbtion harder for your body. Carbs also pull water into your muscles keeping them looking more full. Carbs are underrated IMO

Yeah going crazy on the carbs before bed is a bit pointless unless your working out very late at night but for someone your weight 30g of protein, 40g of carbs and 20g of fat before bed would be a good choice...

    you could get that from
    4 whole large eggs
    2 slices wholemeal toast

my bulking has been goin pretty well and Iv stopped skipping carbs in the evening. I will admit Iv added a bit of fat but Im almost positive that is from when I was eating alot of dirty cals as the fat gains seems to have stopped since I cleaned it up a bit (i still eat carbs before bed)

but its your choice if your gaining weight and staying lean then carry on with what your doing, see what works for you some people are more sensitive to carbs than others
