1967 Mr. America and former pro bodybuilder passed away this morning. Dennis was one of the more popular professional bodybuilders in the 1970's and early 80's. He took 2nd to Arnold Schwarzenegger at the 1967 Mr. Universe and competed in the Mr. Olympia from 1977-1982. I saw him compete at the Mr. Olympia in Columbus, Ohio several times (1977, '78, '79 and '81) and he was a great bodybuilder. Super wide shoulders and great abs for a big man. Rest in peace Dennis!

R.I.P.
He's not really a young stud anymore but his death is nevertheless still premature. He became a pastor I remember after leading a sinful life."Optimum Nutrition fan and endorser."
If Arnold Schwarzenegger is the heart of bodybuilding, Joe Weider is the soul. If Arnold Schwarzenegger is the king of bodybuilding, Joe Weider is the God.
Been into bodybuilding since 1991, non-stop and constant.
I looked 10 years younger for my age the day I turned 33. The pattern remains the same every year. But I want to look 80 like Sean Connery.
I practice science, art, sport and philosophy, therefore, I'm a bodybuilder.

he was in hercules in new york with arnie (at the end when theyre fighting the mobsters). i think he played apollo.
im pretty sure he beat arnie in 1 contest, when arnie placed 2nd in his first mr.universe, maybe 1966."Though the concept is not scientifically validated in detail (it should be considered as a hypothesis rather than a scientific theory), it is useful from a practical standpoint. Is this The John Bubb?
If so, nice to hear from someone who was actually competing beside Arnold and Dennis.
Please stick around, we would be grateful to hear from someone who experienced bodybuilding's golden age personally.

Denis Tinerino
DENIS TINERINO....First and foremost... I do not represent his wife and two children. The facts I have , I assure you are 100% accurate. I have nothing to gain by taking the time to inform you of the truth.
I am a close friend of The family and have met with Denis on numerous occasions.Denis was a powerful presence and an anointed Preacher of The Gospel. Using his Transformed body to transform lives. He was a warm caring and compassionate man who loved Jesus and showed mercy for all who were in need. I will miss his friendship and the weekly phone calls to my mom...since my fathers passing. He truly was a mans man. Denis and my father were very close friends and spoke a couple a times a week till my dads passing. Denis fought cancer about 8 years ago, having a tumor removed he had quickly regained all his abilities and was more upset about having his abb's cut then the fact he had cancer. Second time around...the cancer came back and was very aggressive. Denis fought hard and even sought treatment in Mexico. Denis had been on and off a respirator several times in the last 2 months.
He went quickly with his wife and daughter by his side.
