    ...Regarding High Carb/Refeed Day...

For those of you who have perfected the art of carb cycling or scheduling effective refeed days, what would you suggest for someone who lifts at 5am?

Most often I see the high carb/refeed day scheduled for your "hardest" lifting day (legs, back, etc.). Obviously the boost in energy etc is great, especially on your heavy day. However, since I lift so early, the present day diet has no effect on energy levels in the gym etc.

Still keep the refeed day on the heaviest lifting day?
Refeed the day before? (which is an off day from lifting)
    Pick a day...any day...it doesnt matter?

I know I could get away with it any day, but I would love to use it in its most effective manner...

If I had to choose, I would do it on a heavy training day (i.e. after an intense glycogen depleting workout). In the end though, its really not going to make a huge difference when you do it.

it doesnt matter if you work out at 5 am, the refeed should start AFTER the heavy training session for optimal recovery, so you should be fine.
