One side of body fatter than the other?

I recently noticed that the enitre right side of my body is bigger than my left...The arm has more fat, the leg, it even seems like that side of my abs/stomach.
    Is this normal?
Would it be beneficial to do exercises that work each leg and arm by themselves (like a single leg leg curl?)?

If you work the muscle more on one side it'll just make that side bigger under the fat.

I have found that when I drop fat, it comes from one side first then the other. My right quad separation comes through WEEKS before my left side catches up. This is at a fairly low bodyfat though.

How's your strength? Is it pretty even on each side? If so then it has to do with diet and how you're dropping fat.

I use the same weight on each side of course, but on machine exercises like the leg curl and leg extension, sometimes I think my left leg is doing more work than the right. Also, on the cable hammer curl w/ the rope it seems like the left bicep is working more...It could all just be in my head tho lol.

Switch to dumbbells for a while and see what happens. Or do one arm at a time. There are so many exercises to choose from!!!

You can definitely do single-leg curls and extensions, just make sure that the weight and number of reps is the same for both legs.

My left side seems to have more muscle than my right side. The left bicep is larger than the right and definition is coming in first on the left. Yes I have fat to burn but the left is stronger and more defined. I use uni lateral exercises (DB, cables) quite a bit and start with the weaker side first (right) so that the right side dictates how many reps the left will do. Even if the left can do more reps, if the right side stops at 7 or cannot go up in weight, the left side does the same amount of weight and reps. The right is catching up in strength and I hope the right catches up as far as muscle goes after dropping more BF. That's my only concern, having one side that is visibly more muscular than the other.

I am typically lopsided in the fat department too - only with me it is my left side I got comp lean in April, so I do *know* that it is fat, not muscle. I don't know for sure, but I think that this is fairly common. If your strength is the same bilaterally, the solution is one of leaning out further if it bugs you.

If your strength is not roughly the same, switch over to mostly dumbbell work or "one side at a time work" so the strong side isn't over-helping the weak side, allowing the weaker side to make gains and even out...
