    Sets/Reps

Is doing a set/rep scheme such as this effective?
    150lbs for 12 reps,
    175lbs for 10 reps,
    200lbs for 8 reps,
    225lbs for 6 reps.
As in, increasing weight and lowering reps.

I'm sure there's a name for this...but I've been outta the gym for a long time and forget a lotta stuff.
