What is the deal with "straight edge" people ?
abstaining from drugs I guess I can understand because it's illegal. But alcohol? Why?

I knew a straight edge guy, he's actually a really good guy and doesn't preach that ****. It doesn't bother me, pretty cool to see people living clean lives without needing drugs or alcohol for easy freedoms.

it's a life choice that i usually don't have a problem with, but there are straight edge kids who like to fight drunk people... i have no idea what that's about.

Straight edge is mainly associated with hardcore music. I'm VERY big into hardcore music it's always been my passion but I am not straight edge but i have a lot of friends who are, and NONE of them push their beliefs on me.

Different reasons, I dont do drugs mainly because I am too chicken sh't of getting caught. (honest answer) Given the chance I would try and decide from there whether or not i wanna continue them
I don't drink however because it tore my mom and dad apart, I just see too many examples of the negative side. But like JL4 said it's nothing worth bragging about, nor do I even mention it.
