don't take something that maxes and overflows all the RDA's cause it's really not good for you. i was taking a multi with 10k IU of vit A and i would eat some carrots maybe every other day and the SKIN STARTED TO PEEL OFF THE BOTTOM OF MY FEET....

needless to say i didn't stop eating carrots, just stopped taking a multi

i'm not saying RDA is perfect, but vitamin A's upper limit is 10k IU till you start seeing the effects of overdose. i think most people know you can overdose on some vitamins. it's better to be on the safe side and take something that gives you less. you will still avoid deficiencies and you don't have to worry about building up toxic levels of some of these vitamins over time.

the effects of overdose aren't immediate because the buildup is gradual. if i took a multi again i would probably get orange triad and just take 1 a day.

True. And that is one you have to watch if you take huge doses.


But a multi with 10k IU of vitamin A is a **** ton. The only one I am aware of with that much is Animal Pak...if you take TWO PACKS A DAY. I doubt many people will be consistently taking two Paks a day.
