Chiropractors recommended?
Im going on 5 days now with either a pinched nerve or pulled muscle. I don't think it a muscle because the pain is more "burning" in my spinal area than sore.
I've had a professional massage and have been medicating it now and it still will not go away.
Does anyone recommend using a chiropractor to get an adjustment to alleviate the pain?
thanks

I'm not sure.. I personally am not convinced at the validity of chiropractics as a valid medical practice.
I do snatch pulls in the gym so I can do snatch pulls in the bars. And I ALWAYS use a hook grip.

I have a messed up back. I've been see by a chiropractor for it and he was helpful, but I was going twice a week for months. I started seeing a physical therapist and she was more helpful. Physical therapists can also do manual manipulations like a D.C. but can also give you solid ideas on how to eliminate the source of your pain so that the office visits are not going to go on forever.

I like chiros. I've used one for years.
The only problem with some of them is: they just correct you for that treatment, but don't stabilize you. Which is why you have to keep going back. I like PT's, but they only treat the symptoms, and not really reposition the body (in muscle trauma patients, not surgical patients!) If a chiro were to "crack" and then the same day you saw a PT, you'd get more benefit than just one versus the other. But both are too prideful and won't conceede to sharing.
I would've lied if I told you this was easy.

well
I did go to Chiropractor and had neck and middle back adjusted. It felt so much relief and most of the pain is gone, but still a little tight. going back friday for another adjustment.
I have twice the range of motion in my neck i had before going in there.
I lucked up and got a former professional bodybuilder so he knew what and how to fix it. He was out in Cali back in the day and one of the guys that used to sleep in their vehicles and do their showering in the gym...He was a big o'l guy

Pimps up Ho's Down
I had problems with my back for YEARS that medical doctors and physical theripists said there was nothing they could do. They wanted to operate.
I saw a local chiropractor and it changed my life. Here i am pain free 2 years later with no surgery.
Did it take time for your teeth to get back into place when yo had braces? It takes time for a chiropractor to get your spine realigned. It changed my life and honestly my chiro is so medically minded that he is my primary care doctor now. When ever i need referral to a specialist he is the one that sends me to the dermatologist or whomever.
Chiropractors for the win!

what is there to be convinced of? chiropractors manipulate joints. If you have joint issues then you will probably need to see a chiro
