how many pages is 5,000 words? i'd say 10cents a word is about right.

Depends on the quality of your writing, the subject matter, how much effort you need to put into it, etc. Minimum of 20 dollars/page for a normal paper, but if you're actually having to do research and then insert that in the writing and do citations, I would double it. Serious.

so some people are saying do it for 500, some are saying do it for around 100. lol strong gap between. anyway i'm a good writer, probably my strong point with school. the research is all done already, i just have to put it all together.

I'd say about tree....just kidding. I'd probably go with something like $15-$20 dollars a page if you're just taking their research and synthesizing the prose. If you're going to be the one doing the research and choosing what to quote, etc., then I think I would probably just assess the amount of your time involved and charge them a flat rate. If it's gonna take you the better part of a day then I'd call it $250-$300.

Edit: Saw your last post about you not being the one doing the research. In that case, I'd charge like $200 if the paper is going to end up being somewhere around 12 pages or so (just my guess based on word count). I haven't written a paper that long since last semester or maybe last year so I'm not too sure about how many pages 5k words translates into.

10c/word is about right, but that's only if you can deliver a A or B paper.

Really even B- is pushing it and if you're turning in a C paper you really shouldn't be writing it.
