....with no hope of ever achieving anything beyond that?
hypothetical question to all the big dreamers. assuming someone said from now on, you will make 80k working whatever job, 9 - 5, with no possibility of ever getting more (cant go into business, work for yourself etc) would you do it?
on one hand, 80k a year is more then the average joe....on the other hand you're dedicating yourself to a life slightly above mediocrity with no prospects of ever achieving true financial freedom

u would BALL with that amount bro ...
u cud get a DAMN nice place, save up for any nice car u want, go out every night and party and get whatever nice little toys you want like big screen TVs, etc. etc.
hellll yeah I'd take it think abt it that's minus all those years of hard work and struggle, college, paying off stuff being in partial debt and not already having it pretty good..years u won't get back that u cud otherwise live up

As long as the 80k changes with the times, yes. Jobs, especially these days are unreliable and "high salaries" are overrated. If its something I enjoy, no matter how monotonous, I would take it. It gives you financial stability and knowledge no matter what, you have a steady 80k a year coming in. More than enough to live comfortably.

Yes, easy to live off that.
I am here from the future, it's been 45 years. I tipped my professor and it developed towards groundbreaking research where we discovered the secret of time travel. I recovered my old account to recount the history of the golden age of memes and talk to you about progressing the human race.

No because when I graduate I start at 60k, maybe more depending where I work but no less than 60. Plus night differential is like 7k a year and then clinical specialties add a little here and there. So basically with overtime I think I will be making around 80k (gross) when i get my degree.
Hope to get my masters and make 100k+, hopefully...
