Neat little gun. I can't find much info on it, other than it was made sometime around 1937-38. It was the CZ .380acp produced under the Nazi regime (?) for the general public. I think it's either 7+1 or 8+1 cap. It's quite accurate. I've been carrying a G17 for awhile now, but it's so damn heavy and kind of a burden to tote around, especially in the summer. Even though we are allowed CC or open, I like to conceal.
This gun is a little weird to get used to. The mag release is the loop at the bottom. The button where the mag release is usually found is where the safety is deactivated.
Now, I just need to find the hardest hitting (lol) .380acp I can get.

how does that thing handle hollow points? i had an old walther that would only reliably feed ball ammo.

Typical mindset of someone who doesnt carry or own firearms.
I've never been in a situation where i have needed a gun, and I hope I never have to. But its nice to know you have options.
If you pick a comfortable holster and reasonable carry gun then its very comfortable and you can forget youre even carrying. Most common method of carry is inside the waistband, its comfortable and the fastest access method when carrying concealed.
It is definitely not a first resort in fact it is the opposite.-BMBC underground-

IWB and I forget it's there.
So would I. I was carrying a G17, but it's a burden...and heavy. I also have & carry .45s. I just like that this isn't a hindrance in the summer. It sits nice and low on my hip and it's light. Plus, I'm quite accurate with it. It's actually my buddy's gun, but he's traveling overseas for the next couple years. He gave me his guns to hang onto for safekeeping. Yes, it's legal for me to carry his guns on me. Our guns don't need to be registered and if you are allowed to carry, you can carry anyone's firearm.
Just fine. Right now I have some 90g Hi-Shoks. It was either that or the 95g FMJ. I'm gonna look around and see if I can find any 100+g stuff, though.

That would be it
http://www.buffalobore.com/index.php...t_detail&p=129
but its up to you to decide if the gun can handle it.
I carry mine on my neck just behind my ear with tape, and yeah its gets uncomfortable. Also youre right its a first resort -- if i get in an argument dey gettin teh bullets in dey face. But the police here dont care when we slaughter each other so I dont get in any trouble.

What are you some kind of wiseguy?
Cell phone, drivers license, spare tire, etc.
Lots of people take those things with them every day whether or not they "need" them.
also, I doubt anyone has ever come into a situation in a "normal" day where you need a firearm, it's the abnormal days that are the reason why you carry

never ran into a situation where I'd needed before this, turns out I didn't even need it then, and I have not ran into a situation of similar nature after this either.

I'm certainly no medical doctor or self-defense guru, but:
During training at the FBI Academy we were told of a case in which agents shot a bank robber 65 times with 9mm, .223 and 00 buckshot – he survived! These are not rare cases. The happen quite often.*~=Gator Nation=~*
If I was in a room and someone yelled "Hey Bitches!" I would never turn around because I just don't fit the description.

I think the AR is one of the biggest wastes of money out there. So little punch, SO much money. My understanding is that even military are told they can expect to need to hit an enemy many many MANY times with the M16 before the target will be dead. Don't even get me started on the idiocy of one of these things for home defense
Even the much larger caliber AK47 was only designed to wound.
For real riflemen you want a good old fashioned American snipe........er umm... I mean deer hunting rifle. They dispose of targets with one good shot
For a good handgun I personally consider the .45 to be the smallest worth using. Preferably a 44 magXtreme Formulations

I have no hate for AR's you just have to take them for what they are. They are great for plinking and small varmints and even target training. IMO they are utterly useless (by comparison) in a life threatening emergency. You can arm several members of your family with a great pump action 12 ga for the cost of one of these things with all the toys. I even found a great retailer of the Saiga-12 that makes that a comparable expense to the above

the AA-12 is awesome no doubt but for civilian purchases the Saiga is hard to top. You can get some outrageous capacity drums nowadays for reasonable prices and back them up with a bunch of 10 or 12 round magazines.
00 buck is great but you also need to check into the slugs by brenneke some of which are suitable for a firefight with GodzillaXtreme Formulations
