    Non-Chicken Daily Meat

I hate chicken so its out of the question. I'm looking to add more protein in my daily diet, but I'm usually pretty full all day long. I'm thinking of subbing out my current dinner for a quick and easy meat.

What out there is cheap but still tasty? I don't like liver, so I can't go real cheap. I was thinking maybe hamburgers on a daily basis.

    Thoughts?

in terms of land animal -- pork loin when on sale is a great option.

if you hate chicken, the probably turkey is out of the question huh?

obviously beef is a good change of pace, but i think i would get tired of burgers every day.

I don't like pork, but I like ham. I hate chicken but like turkey. It's messed up, I know.

I don't see being able to do turkey on a daily basis unless you mean cold cuts, which is what I do now.

i gotcha. everyone has their own palates.

turkey is a mixed bag. if you can get some turkey breasts from the butcher(not just the jennie-o) that might replace some of the deli you are buying.

though its tough to tell till you try it out. best thing you can do is, scan the deals for the week on protein and go from there. though usually some form of red meat is on sale on a weekly basis. around here strip steaks are on sale 4.99/lb this week.

(sorry, i wish i had more ideas, my brain is not working well this morning)

i like to mix it up so i keep the freezer full of chicken breast, top sirloin, ground beef, tilapia, and pork tenderloin.. you can score huge pork tenderloins at sams club for like under 2 bucks a lb... all you gotta do is bring them home and cut the chunk of fat and silverskin off the back... and if you go can style, chunk light tuna is awesome, specially now since its dirt cheap...

Damn, I forgot to grab eggs. I suppose I could mix them in for dinner. Tuna isn't a bad idea either.

I did find some 80/20 burgers at Wal*Mart. They were 3lbs for ~$7.

Ground Turkey with some chalula hot sauce..mmmmm, but it can get expensive depending on the brand. You can also roll the ground turkey into a burger. Tuna is also yummy depending on how you eat it. I think you can pretty much get it anywhere 5 for $5. Throw some pepperchinis on there slap a piece of whole wheat bread on each side, some shredded lettuce and enjoy.

From all the other posts I gather you don't eat, Chicken, pork or turkey. Besides Eggs as previously stated you have Fish. Mahi Mahi, Salmon and Tuna are great. I guess, you could hit the hamburgers but it's gonna get old real quick.

Ground beef with taco seasoning is pretty good and you can add low cal stuff to it to make it more filling like lettuce/salsa/green beans.

Burger patties never got old to me as long as i actually grilled them with fire. When i was doing the anabolic Diet i was eating 4-6/day with cheese and mustard. mmmmmmm

Steak is also awesome considering you dont need condiments at all with that.. .just salt pepper.

try some duck. or goose. i find their meat to be extremely tasty, also venison is a great option... and you can hunt it yourself during certain parts of the year.
^ cheapest option if you hunt it yourself, and actually get some good finds.
