GoFit Fitness Ball. worth 40 bucks?

I am wondering why these pro level balls cost twice as much as other balls the same size.

I am over 6' so I need a 75cm size ball but could get 1 for 20 bucks but I am thinking of spending 40 on the gofit pro line?

What makes this brand superior? It says it has thicker walls, and I heard the better balls are better for when you ad weight to them, like from a medicine ball.

So is it really worth the extra cash?

No, not worth it. A ball is a ball as long as it is anti-burst.

GoFit charges more because their boxes are pretty colors and there's a wall of their products in every Dick's.

Go with the cheaper ball. You won't be disappointed.

Don't forget to choose the Right Size Ball

Choose size a ball that is proportional to your height. You want to be able to sit on your ball with your legs at a 90 degree angle or slightly more, but not less.

Guidelines :

45cm Fitness Ball -- usually recommended for people from under 5' - 5'2".

55cm Fitness Ball -- usually recommended for people from 5'3" - 5'6".

65cm Fitness Ball -- usually recommended for people from 5'7" - 5'10".

75cm Fitness Ball -- usually recommended for people from 5'11 - 6'4".

The length of a person's legs is the real determining factor when properly fitting anyone to a fitness ball. While sitting atop the ball a person's knees should be at a 90 degree angle with their feet flat on the floor in front of them. rigid.


Don't Blow an Exercise Ball All the Way Up ...The ball should be inflated until it is firm but not rigid tight.. This provides more stability and it allows you to sit evenly on the ball. It is essential to exercise with good alignment.

I have the Dick's GoFit 75cm one that I used for Dumbbell Press before I got my FID bench. I wanted to be sure my 250 lbs plus the 100lbs of Dumbells wouldn't burst it, and if it did deflate, it would happen slowly. I couldn't find one with the weight rating for $20 so I sucked it up and got that one.

Whatever you get, make sure it is Anti-Burst and that the Weight Rating is higher than your bodyweight and Medicine Ball total weight.

If the $20 one doesn't have a weight rating listed (as many cheaper balls don't seem to) I would keep looking. $20 extra bucks is cheaper than a trip to the ER for a head scan.

I bought the 75cm ball because I am 6'3.

I thought it was going to be a lot bigger than it was.

I want to buy a comercial grade oversized ball.

I've been looking all over the web, can't find any.

Anyone know where I can get 1, my gym has the oversized ones., so I know they exist.
