I've been looking all over the net for a banned substance list for the military; USMC specifically, but found nothing.
Does anyone have a list or a copy of a list or anything?
*by me posting this thread; does not mean I am taking anything I shouldn't be, but just for future reference, etc it would be nice to know*

You should talk to a doc or corpsman. They should be able to provide you with any instruction related to supplement usage. I am in the Navy and for instance, personnel that are Aircrew and in a flight status are very limited to supplements and even energy boost products they are allowed to take. Not everyone is under that limitation though. So it is something that could be specific to your job or MOS or whatever you call it in the Marines.

I got out of the Corps last april, I was an 03 NCO and as far as I was ever told by any of my Staff NCO's was that as long as it was sold in the store then there shouldnt be any problem. I personally took supplements and never popped on a test and im not talkin bout creatine or **** like that. The whole time i was in i only ever knew one person to get tested directly for gear and that was cause some one snitched on him.

The Air Force only allows pilots to take amphetamines when there is a long mission duration so they dont crash or do anything due to fatigue flying a multimillion dollar or billion dollar plane depending on what your flying, but its typically low dose and given to them only at the time of departure, so saying hes good an pretty much any supp would be bad advice. Your better to ask what is allowed and what isnt. will you be tested for PH/DS/AAS? most likely not. (assuming thats what your wondering about). If so, you also need to ask yourself is what your taking/going to take worth you losing your job or carrier just do get bigger and stronger?

im not currently looking at anything potentially banned; just more of an informative so i know for "future reference" or just for the sake of knowing.
its weird, because supposedly there are many things banned, BUT you cant find out what they are.
its like a secret lol
until piss day, and if its hot then you can always be like (insert rank here) didn't know lol
i mean really, if you think about it; if you pop for something you're taking and you couldn't find any information stating that it was "illegal" then what can they do to you?
i mean sure they could "roast" you, but if you think about it; they didn't say you couldn't take it..."Shut up and train"

1. As long as you can buy it from a "trusted source" (legit online shop) you will be fine. If there "IS" a list then the people who will DEFINITELY have it is the SACO office (main office). If you are on Camp Pendleton then it is on mainside across from the hotel / inn, next to the daycare. The place where all the DUI & drug pop bubbas go for their "counseling".
2. Anyone (SNCO / Officers) telling you otherwise can shove it. Tell them to show you a MARADMIN or Memorandum of record signed by a General grade officer if they persist / attempt to fry you.
3. As far as popping on a conventional drug test: most supps will not make you. There is a spot to list drugs / supplements that you are on though. USE IT!!!! It will save your ass.
4. To be given a "steroid" test they will not be pissing the entire unit due to the cost and paperwork involved. It WILL be a single test and they must have reasonable suspicion that you are taking ILLEGAL steroids. Once again it is costly and will ultimately come out of unit funds. There is also a lot of paperwork involved. In my time in the USMC (7years) I have never seen one given, although I will not say they don't have the means to do it.
Source of my knowledge: I was a USMC unit SACO for 3/5 for a period of time.

very informative; like i was saying in a previous post; if there's nothing saying "you cant take it" and you buy it from lets say "bodybuilding.com" or "gnc" etc, who's to say its "illegal"
I mean, there's no place i know of that sells "legit" steroids; plus its a given that "steroids" are illegal anyways.
Im talking more about "supplements, Natural Testosterone Boosters, anabolic s, etc"
not injecting s h i t into your body or stuff like that.
They really need to come out with an official list of PRODUCTS that are banned; not names, etc
i.e.(example) Jonny T's Steroid Mix
not (sterouldsfgd-iperohdg-khdkghjueyness) or some "technical term"

Just remember in the military, ignorance is NOT bliss.
I would definitely talk to your doc/corpsman and see if they can figure it out (I doubt they'll know off the top of their heads). I doubt there is a long list of banned supplements due to the fact that testing is so expensive. They only test 10% of the samples they obtain anyways.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?p=170889621&posted=1#post170889621
Conclusion: EAT THE WHOLE DAMN EGG!

"if it's legal i'm sure it dose not matter" is what i said buddy
and about these multimillion dollar air craft... they have auto pilot systems that will actual prevent a crash if the pilot is too out of it. and the amphetamines they get actually have made AF pilots make bad choices.

they were going to be charged with man slaughter but blammed it on the go pills and the suit was dropped... jus sayin
