    Supersetting skullcrushers with close grip bench press?

    So i cant obviously use the same weight i do on close grip bench press because i cant obviously skullcrush that.

    Maybe if i start with close grip bench press and right after that set i run to the skullcrushers?

    Or i start with skullcrushers and with same bar i do close grip as soon as i end skullcrush?

    Whats your opinion on this?

    but yeah if you have no rest between them (skulls first then cg bench) then it should be a good burn out exercise.

    even when you super-set, you can still have a little rest (5 secs). just make sure you set it up so you can move between the two stations quickly and efficiently

    when you superset your suppose to use opposing muscles.

    bench and skull crusher use triceps.

    a proper superset would be bench and row, chest and tris for bench vs back and bi for row.

    I do close grip suppersetted with skulls, but I use DB's for the skulls. As you lower the weight, make your palms face ur face and as you press turn them by contracting the tricep.

    do this on the BB bench

    triceps=blown

    Or do skulls and supperset them with reverse grip bench press. Use the same weight. I do this with an EZ bar.

    I find that starting with the skullcrushers is better because the weight i use for close grip chest press is quite a bit heavier than the weight i use for skullcrushers. i tend to fatigue pretty quickly on skull crushers if i stay at the same weight so by my third and final set im pretty much wasted. i use the close grip bench press superset to really push my triceps to failure and it really helps on the last set when i have almost no strength left. so basically i'd say do skullcrushers first and close grip second

    Why don't you closegrip bench the curl bar (i assume that's what ur using for SC's) after a high-rep set of skullcrushers? Chit will burn you regardless of the lower weight

    It works fine OP i've done it on a few occasions.

    Just an FYI going from skull crushers into close grip bench is an example OP what's known as a mechanical drop set in case you're looking for more examples like this e.g flyes to db press, incline curls to standing curls.

    I personally like this way as it really lets you destroy yourself as you aren't worried about leaving anything in the tank for the second part of the superset
